Derrick Brown tested awful. However anyone that watched that man’s game film can’t deny he’s a stud. Weird when that stuff happens. Also shows that underwear workouts aren’t the end all be all

Side note: Simmons is just damn filthy at 4.39 forty at that size. Gallimore too

Sparq and adjusted sparq are numbers I put a ton more weight into than any individual drill.

I shared to show why “experts” put more faith in Reagor than Jennings

Love me some Ke'Shawn Vaughn. His landing spot will be very important.

That escalated quickly last week he was Dak. Mahomes still has bad mechanics and makes bad decisions.

Comparisons at QB is the most dangerous thing to pay any attention. .... been a lot of them coming out that got compared to Rodgers, Brady, and the like over the yrs and many are not even in the league anymore. .... just saying. Doesn't mean it's totally wrong, just that special players who can handle the pressure are very, very rare. ....

True.

I think comparing measurable physical attributes is okay..but that's about it. Jay Cutler profiled quite nicely as the next John Elway, physically. He also profiled pretty similarly to Jeff George (with mobility)..turns out he was barely Jeff George.

I would say Burrows physical attributes compare quite nicely to Brady's, he's accurate, he's got a decent arm, not great but good, sound mechanically, seems to have great pocket presence... But, many many many wanna be's, and never will be's also fit that mold, and those things are not what made Brady the GOAT.

So what you're saying is, it's anyone's guess as to whether they turn out to be decent? :pound:

In all seriousness, as much as I hate to admit any rookie impact, I think the NFL is at a critical juncture. All the decent veterans seemed to have aged and regressed simultaneously and collectively. Eli, Brady, Rogers, Ben, Rivers, blah blah blah. Even Dak and Wilson arguably had sub par years in 2019.

I don't see the QB situation getting better. I'm sure NFL teams will kick the tires on a few of the vets but there is a glaring QB hole to fill on 80% of the rosters (if not more). You can bet plenty of clubs will try their hand at landing the next Mahomes (even if in reality he turns into another Manziel).

@averagejoe - not saying NFL teams won't take a shot, even early. In the grand scheme of NFL cost for potential it's not a bad move. But for fantasy purposes it's not something I'm gonna take to heart as 'a better grab this guy he's a can't miss'. ....

Overall yeah pretty much. But more so with those damned QB's than anything else

While I agree, part of me believes that the majority of NFL teams are not happy with their QB situation - and this would include those with newer signal-callers.

Maybe the stubbornness of some GM's may stifle that (like Pace in the Bears' org for example). But I think some GM's are seeing this same "shortage" of marquee QB's. In addition, perhaps they're coming to grips that who they drafted or have on the roster are not difference makers.

I expect a panic on QB. It will be crazy.

Maybe @The Foot has been right all along.... maybe there are people who read this message board.....

Heard on ESPN this morning discussing whether or not 5 or more QB would be taken in round 1. (They were split.) If it does happen, it would be the most since the year Elway went #1.

I converted to that belief long ago. Numerous times I've posted something, and within 2-3 days, theres a story on rotoworld, or bleacher report, of fantasypros, or wherever, that is an IDENTICAL thought, nearly word for word, on thier sites.
Thievin' assed sonsabitches!

And I would be on the side that yes, could easily see 5...Burrows, Herbert, Tua, Love, and Eason. I think 3 is the absolute bare minimum...Free agency MIGHT adjust that...but I wouldn't be surprised to see whoever signs Brady, Rivers, Tranny, Winston, Dalton...ect..to also draft a guy #1 for "franchise QB of the future"
