heard the 3-cone drill was horrible for almost all of the WRs - rumblings on twitter from people that are at the combine: wondering if the league or teams have de-emphasized that drill, which is why only like 4 or 5 WRs tested well in it.

this was also one of the lowest participation rates in recent years for the 3 cone. so wouldn't surprise me in the least if players didn't prep for it, since most didn't even do it.

Ruggs was icing his hammies after his 40. Will Fuller 2.0, won't stay on the field cause he runs too fast.

He's not rated quite as high. But what about someone like jauan jennings.shit qb play, played MUCH tougher d. But better numbers this year
Jennings has physical gifts but has trouble creating separation. It showed at the Senior Bowl. However I would have no issues using a 6th on him.

But there's my point. Jennings had shit qb play, and faced much tougher competition. Yet still performed.

reagor had shit qb play and faced defenses known for allowing points in bunches......and wallowed , why is he given a pass? While Jennings is merely unable to separate? Because reagor is fast?

not to keep harping on the 3 cone, but found what i read last night:

2016: 27 players, 17 passed this analytics guy's threshold as good performance
2017: 41, 27 passed
2018: 28, 20 passed
2019: 29, 11 passed
2020: 25, 4 passed

it does seem like no one prepped for that drill at all this year.

another interesting tidbit - why are WRs running agility drill after 10pm?

seems like it would make more sense to do all of the drills in AM/early afternoon, like when the NFL and colleges actually play most of their games.
I doubt many prepared for late night drills - and if you think time of day doesn't matter, you're fucking nuts.

probably because Reagor has done it before.

overall age + breakout age is big among the fantasy analytics camp, and Reagor CRUSHED the vertical/broad jump drills yesterday (Burst Score in charts below)

I'm very familiar with breakout age. What it doesn't take into account though is regression. If you have a great freshman year, then nose dive , you still broke out.
I believe n the breakout age thing. Edwards from South Carolina is the top dog.

yeah, I was trying to put Reagor and Jennings side by side, just to show that outside of breaking out a little later and not jumping as well, they are similar.

one thing that really sticks out is that Jennings has a much more slender frame - only 10lbs heavier but 4 inches taller. NFL CBs are a lot bigger than NCAA, so if he had separation issues in college, I'd expect them to continue in the pros

That 4.65 isnt gonna fuel the Zach Moss train. Maybe the slow rise up the boards is coming to an end

4.39 at 226 for Taylor is smoking can't wait to se what some of these guys 10' are. Dillon probably bumped his stock a bit too as a lot of people thought he looked great but slow.

Feel like I haven't heard shit about CEHs combine. Not a good sign, and speed score above confirms that

Watched a couple offensive game "films" trying to get a bead on CEH...can't say that I was impressed in the slightest. But to be fair, I couldn't stop watching Jefferson.

Bruce Arians must be a rookie hater like me.
Of the 10 fastest combine runs, only 1 has had a good career. With just a couple others getting honorable mention.
