idk, not that i am paying attention, but i hear the million baseball players dont want to take a pay cut and/or expose themselves to corona. If I had to guess, the million dollar NFL players would have the same mindset.

These guys are set for life with their salaries, why take a chance on catching a potentially fatal pestilence? They arent essential, and they dont need the money.

soccer leagues are starting back up in June with no fans, so I guess we'll see if it can happen for NFL

not sure how all the players vs the owners negotiations will play out, but either way, the owners will always be pushing for them to play, even if it is a shortened season that doesn't start up until OCT.

As to the season, no, I have no doubts there will be a season of some kind, it may be abbreviated, but it'll happen. And I'm not so sure NFL players are set $$-wise. Most are making middle six figures, also, it sure seems as though football players, for whatever reasons, are the WORST athletes outside of boxers at managing thier finances. They don't play, they don't get paid. Both the billionaires and the millionaires are gonna want to get those checks coming in.

Well, I only believe about 1/10 of what I read from those sources, heck, only about 1/2 for the ones I do put some credence in. I do believe there are people getting rich off this thing, there always is, but it may just be some that you'd not suspect. That aside, the good news is; teams can open their facilities starting tomorrow. .... that's a pretty positive sign for a season. ...

no its not
whats happened in mlb is players/owners agreed to pay scale of so much per game for what they signed their contract
now owners want to pay to 50/50 split on revenue
players have a gripe but its a bad look to the millions working in health care for a whole lot less
