Rushing/Receiving - 1 PPR, 1 point per 10 yards, 6 pts TD. 2 Pt - 2

Kicking - 1 point per XP, 3 pts FG <40 yds, 4 pts FG 40-49 yds, 5 pts FG 50-59 yds, 6 pts >60 yds.

Roster...

1 player from each playoff team. There will be no adds or drops. You pick one team at the beginning and stick with them. For the tiebreaker, you pick 2 players who are not on your roster. Can be from any team or any position. Their total points will be added up together to break any ties.

I was planning on running this again this year (here, on the hoop and irl with my friends for money) and I realized that they have added 2 extra playoff teams this year. My son and I were discussing some ways to adjust to that, so I figured I would get you guys' opinion on the subject. The original rules are in the quote for reference.

1. We pretty much don't change anything other than the fact that you wouldn't have to use all the teams. There would be 2 teams that you don't use. You could still use any player for your tiebreaker.

This opens up a situation where some teams would have less players in the later rounds if the team they didn't use advanced. That would take me a little longer in the proofreading aspect of this, since I would have to see which teams people didn't use to see if I missed somebody or if I had it right and they just didn't use a team.

2. We don't change the set up, but the 2 tiebreakers would have to be from the 2 teams you don't use in your starting lineup.

Same minor problem about less players in the later rounds.

3. We add 2 more starting spots.

I'm still not sure where these spots would be. Add a QB and a flex? Add a RB and a WR? Add 2 flexes? I worry about my friends fucking it up and trying to put a QB at flex or something of the like. I'm leaning towards not doing a flex and just spelling out the positions (RB and WR make the most sense, imo). I toyed with the idea of a flex and superflex, but again, I'm trying to keep this as simple as I can.

After spelling it all out, I am really leaning towards #3 with an extra RB and WR.

I like 3 the best. But instead of worrying about assigning either RB or WR to anyone, make it a W/R/T position only. Just my 2 cents

I would actually say dont change anything... i understand the problem that some would have more active players than others, but isn't that kind of the point at the same time??

Not really. Kinda the opposite, really. When I first came up with the idea, I wanted to make sure everyone had the same amount of people playing every week. That's where the 1 player per team thing came from.

again I understand, and this is your baby so do whatever you want. We are all in it for the ride.

but I will still add my opinion

but what’s nice about not changing it is that it is much harder to have the same or similar lineups. That by itself is a huge plus in my book.

It will probably mean more work but what if you reduce the rosters and have each owner submit 2 teams - an AFC and an NFC? Two teams of 7 players = 14. Then you can still have a player from each playoff team.

Interesting wrinkle. QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, TE and K from each team in each conference?

that doesnt reduce the rosters its 2 more than last year and since u pick 1 player from each team no need to seperate them :suds:
