That depends a great deal on health and how they fill some of the glaring holes in the roster that you are all too aware of.

I was basing it off the the 7 unwinnable games I see and if everything went right they could get a max of 9 wins.

Get Jimmy G, Breida, Mckinnon, Person and DBs all Healthy!!!:)

Ward won't be back and they need more depth because I'm not sure any of the safeties will stay healthy.

I'd say get new DBs. The ones we have haven't got a clue and have no business being in an NFL uniform; with the exception of Sherman.

Yes we do need better DB's but we also need pressure even more. Then we don't know how many years Sherman can play at this level? However, IMO improve the pass rush first which means add a SAM if value is there. I'd go LEO followed by a SAM, cause lets not depend on a LEO to do everything.

Is there a "Aaron Donald" in this draft? IF Arizona takes Bosa, then we might consider an inside pass rusher? Yes, i know we have three 1st round D-linemen, but you draft now according to value NOW. You don't go into this draft thinking i already got three 1st round D-linemen.

Pffft... Going into the 2018 season, I thought we had a real cupcake of a schedule
I see a lot of winnable games.
I see a lot of fans of the opposing teams seeing the Niners on the schedule and thinking that's one in the win column as well

As long as the pick is not another Solomon Thomas I don't see how they can go wrong. There are so many holes to fill. If LEO is what I think it is, what they used to call the "Elephant", I'm with ya.

Correct, no matter what position and what round, who you take is most important. ie he has to pan out to at least his draft spot. If we take a 'bust' at #2, then all for naught.

Yes, the LEO is what they used to call the "Elephant". At #2 overall, we're looking at an every down LEO, not just a pass rush specialist.

The SAM is the OLB over the TE, so he's a little "set the edge" as opposed to elite pass rusher. But he would be an every down player and is why you need to take him higher. When you need to mix up the pressure on "not so obvious passing downs", he's valuable on the other side.

Williams from Alabama would be interior pass rusher

At #2? Get Bosa. Already gone? Explore possible trade back to get a haul like nobody's business. If you can't get what you're looking for, grab QW. He's not Donald...nobody is...he's arguably the best 3T in history.

Ahhh screw it. Even if Ariz takes Bosa, Lynch should just hand in the card with Bosa's name on it anyways.

haaa, no cause then we run out of time and get bounced to #3.

Who knows, maybe Lynch and staff pegs Ferrell worth #2? Maybe Joash Allen or even Jaylon Ferguson for all we know? Heck, even Baalke got Aldon Smith out of nowhere, and he panned out......until.......

For all of Aldon Smith's troubles, I don't think they reached for him. He was a long-armed, powerful player who simply went off the rails. Allen and Ferguson really aren't those guys, and they need big Senior Bowl/combines to elevate their stock. From what I've seen, I like those two guys....just not at #2. I'm not a big fan of Ferrell at all...he doesn't seem athletic enough for me. Perhaps if he fell to the second round. Right now....I think I take QW at #2 (if Bosa is gone/no trade back) and I don't worry about it.

Again....take it from someone who has little exposure to the college game, but that's just how I see it.

I recall no one heard of Aldon Smith after he was just picked. One person did claim he knew of him, but admitted was way down his list. So that post was about being surprised at whom we might pick now, you never know? It wasn't about Aldon being a good player or not, obviously he was.

I've seen that inside pass rush work well on Brady and Brees. I'd be happy with Williams if he turns out to be a dominant lineman.
