Come on Seattle go out there and grab Jon Brown! Dude has a MONSTER leg. Why sign a guy that was 3-6 in FG attempts? thats down right awful!

I know Jon Brown has no exp really and is not a football player, well not american football at least but give the guy a shot. I bet he would beat out Sam Fickens no problem.

Yeah, not excited about the Fickens signing. I know a lot of successful kickers get a year or 2 of little experience that is usually underwhelming, but his college numbers aren’t any better.

i think its almost inevitable we draft a kicker, i wouldnt worry too much about a guy signed before the season is even over.

I'm not excited by it either, but last year about this time we signed Jason Myers to a futures contract and it turns out he ended up having a pretty good season...for the Jets...after we cut him.

With only four picks this year I highly doubt we draft a kicker.

I think the position will be filled via free agency, and with any luck Buffalo cuts ties with Haushka so we can right our wrong.

Man, Hauschka collapsed down the stretch.

He missed four kicks and one XP all year. I would be just fine with that.

I believe you're quoting 2017, not 2018.

He missed 5 FG attempts (6 for 11) over the last 5 games. Overall, he missed 6.

He was 22 of 28 for field goals (78.6%) which was worse than Janikowski (not by much, 22/27).

Overall all his kicks, Hauschka kicked 87.0%, while SeaBass hit 89.7% (FG+PAT).

I don't mind bringing him back - but it's not like he's coming off a great season. He missed 10 PATs his last 2 years in Seattle, and had his worst FG season since 2009 this year. If he comes back, I'd still have an open competition, since I'm not sold he will ever be the Hauschka of 2013 ever again.

McGough, a 7th round draft pick, signed a contract w/ Jacksonville today... Stinks that the 2 draft picks we used on QB's over the year were both a wasted pick... Hundley is a FA after we gave GB a 5th rounder this year... Basically threw 2 picks away and are still in the position to find a backup QB...

We could re-sign Hundley. Should really only cost $800,000 for the league minimum with his experience. Nothing else, other than an UDFA, makes much sense. Also, didn't we trade a 6th round pick, at least that's what pro-football-reference is saying.

This time last year we were scratching our heads a bit (or at least calling it "no news") when we signed Jason Myers. He was coming off a pretty bad 2017 season. We ended up going with Seabass (who was decent this year -- not great, but not horrible). Myers made the pro bowl. So I'll hold on judging Ficken too early.

I'd be happier with Myers' career if he could hit 91% of his PATs. He had a great year kicking FGs though. 6 of 7 from 50+ is impressive.

Yeah, his performance this season seems to be a bit of an aberration, though it's only been 4 seasons for him. I heard on the radio more than once over the last few weeks how we had a chance to have him as our kicker but let him go, but I didn't hear those same people being all that upset when we didn't keep him before the season started. To me, it's a bit on par with complaining about playcalling.

Just heard the sentencing date for Kendricks has been moved from next week to April 4th. Unless the sentence ends up being very light, this is pretty terrible news. Seems awfully janky to me.

Completely agree, what a waste.

I never understood what they saw in Hundley that warranted a 5th round pick. He was terrible the year before for GB and wasn't much better at UCLA.

I don't mind the "draft a QB late every year" philosophy just in the hopes of hitting the lottery, but trading a 5th for a backup that isn't any good seems pointless. They could have just as easily re-signed Austin Davis.
