man i really wish the devils would be in on him. i never understood why players dont want to come here. insanely good schools for kids. you can walk around and no one would know who you are. if you sucked for weeks on end no one will care because your in jersey. you think tavares will get that type of treatment in toronto?

In a Karlsson/Ryan trade I would start with Zacha, Bratt, Severson, another prospect (Quenneville? Boqvist?) and picks. I think that's an honest haul for them.

Also in regards to the Ryan contract, we're 2 years away from potential "cap issues". He has 4 years left right now so at that point he'll only have 2 years left. Now we're in potential buyout territory or possibly dumping him off on another team. It gives us some more flexibility to get creative.

Honestly, glad we avoided De Haan and that contract.
I trust Shero. Free agency besides Tavares was not the answer this year. Without risking the progress this team made in recent years, I think he will still address the needs for this team.

Why do we want to give up our first to help TB get Karlsson?

Not surprised... Good reasons for him plus it declutters our options at wing

Starting to wonder WTF Shero is doing at the moment. As of right now, this team is worse than it was last season, not better.

As far as Karlsson is concerned, Tampa Bay doesn't even need him while New Jersey needs him probably more than most teams!
