Only Trae is safely off this list right now IMO.

But, Ayton over Luka, JJJ, Bagley, Trae could look wonky after their careers are over.

He looks like he will be a good, not great, player for over a decade.

Those other Dudes look like they have (All) Star potential.

He looks like he will be a good, not great, player for over a decade.

The Suns sucked but Ayton looked far from disappointing this year. There's a reason he's a finalist for ROY with Luka and Trae.... had one of the most historically efficient seasons ever for a rookie big man. 16/10/2 with improved defense as the season went on. He has a ways to go with rim protection, but he has major upside with his elite touch. Think you'll see him shoot threes this year too. His perimeter switch-ability is also going to be a major weapon... he really bothered LeBron and Giannis when guarding them this year.

All of this is true.

But, I see occasional All-star when I watch him play.

I see All-star to possible Franchise Player , in Luka's case, with the others.

I see Ayton getting lost in the shuffle, and undervalued by people like me that focus on offensive stats, in the same way Gobert does with Mitchell.

He and Book won't be as unbalanced statistically as Capella and the beard. He's already better than that offensively.

But, he will most definitely be overshadowed.

Maybe things will look better when the Suns have a real pg.

But, he's got a hard road to recognition with guys like Adams, KAT, Joker, Gobert in front of him out West.

PS. He has no shot at ROY.

Every category has to have 3 Finalists.
