So , by your post , you would have been shocked if yanks went all the way

Not at all. Any team that makes the playoffs can win the World Series.

But the only people that thought that the Yankees, rather than the Red Sox, were the team to beat are you and John Sterling.

When the two teams both win 100 game and meet in the playoffs I think the rivalry is still very much alive and well. When both teams are good it's still a rivalry. When it's the Redskins and the Cowboys, not so much.

There is no rivalry between players, too much money involved!

I’m sorry , was it the Red Sox that took the stros to game 7 last year?

um, ok? That's your argument? That the entire season doesn't matter but instead a 7 game series last year is what is important?

I guess the Red Sox are the exact same team as they were last year.

I’m very curious what the Yankees fans here think about the comments in this video. To me... they seem to make sense but I’m not as aware of the Yankees players as the fans here. To me, the Yankees have a great team already. I’m not sure these big name players are what they need but I’d love to hear from the Yankees fans what they think.

Without watching the video and looking at the players, I would go after one of the two pitchers. I think the lineup is set for the next year or two and Machado and Harper would cost. Which is something that the Steinbrenner brothers have tried to limit since they took over.

Again the Red Sox are a great team! But they WERE 3rd the in line. Now, they are 2nd!

With all due respect , I’d like to know to whom I’m having a discussion with , no real names, just your athletic background...anyone can respond to this

Played sports all my life. Most football, volleyball and softball later in life. Not sure the relevance here.

It’s clear to me through the years that no one on these boards competed at a high level.

I'm sure you are the only one out of all the people that post here. And that clearly gives your arguments so much more legitimacy, despite being utterly ridiculous on the surface.

Apparently the Vikings, not the Rams, are the team to beat in the NFC this year.

Lol, utterly ridiculous? Another Glorified stat geek.

You might want to look at the Vikings start last year, and the run they went on

I'd like to sign Corbin, then instead of chasing Machado/Harper, lock Didi up long-term.

Would like to resign David Robertson too, but didn't realize he made $13M last year. Jeez.

I do think we've seen the last of Brett Gardner in pinstripes, which is sad as he's the current longest tenured Yankee-but no way they can exercise his option at $12.5M. Really fell off a cliff in the 2nd half, and they've got Clint Frazier and others waiting in the wings.

Yankees can't pick up Gardner's option. That spot belongs to Ellsbury aka boomstick.
