Never made any sense. They already had Gardner, a player with a similar skill set, who was arguably better.

Ah well, I guess he's entitled to a mulligan after the remarkable way he turned this franchise's fortunes around 180 degrees in less than 2 years.

Yup, I always felt Ellsbury was the "throw the fans a bone" transaction after the very unpopular UNsigning of Robbie Cano

The Ellsbury signing has to be near the top of the list of Cash's worst signings.....He never commanded the money he received.....Like from $9M to $21M overnight with that one great year where he showed tremendous power to a complete dud....

Down apparently had some personal shit go on that he shared, his wife had an affair, etc.

He re-appears on the other site time to time, but never on the regular

The one guy he had right was Mookie Betts, i remember the e-hard on he had for him

He was alright, but he would get so angry. You could almost feel it through the monitor. LOL

I am so pumped. Not just because they should be really good, but because they were built through shrewd trades and the farm. Really easy team to root for. That hasn't always been the case these last 10-15 years.

You make it over to Biloxi? Went there for the first time last fall. Had a blast-gambler's paradise. All they need to do is legalize sports betting and they'll give Nevada a run.

I didnt, only a 3 day trip, but went with people that know the city well, which completely makes the trip...Just like NYC, the best places are the hidden gems down the side streets away from the mayhem of all the action

yes, this is why I dont want Machado (yet), or Darvish/Arrietta.....I dont want this to become the '09 team, my least favorite title team ever....

I wouldnt mind Alex Cobb tho at the right price, I like AL East tested pitchers

I'm torn, because I really want to see Montgomery get his shot.

I want no part of Darvish....I saw enough of him in the playoffs last season.....Montgomery being lefty is a huge plus and I like what I saw for the most part, but he needs to step it up to the next level....I'm hoping we won't be seeing a lot of 15-9 games this year....Could be like softball if a few starters take a big step back.....Lots of question marks...

I hear ya, I think Montgomery manages to make 18-20 starts even if they add a pitcher, just seems to always work out that way, especially with the fragility of the staff, maybe some skipped starts for CC

Sonny Gray is an interesting cat for me, was not overly impressed last season

I absolutely hate the Darvish rumors........And considering i expect to see Houston for the next 8-10 years, Im pretty sure they own him
