Not sure about the accuracy, but sox have more wins before all-star break than any team in history? Thought I heard 65 was the record.

63 by the 1969 Orioles was the record..

98 Yankees had the best winning percentage at the break.

They could, but I think this is one of the later All-Star Breaks (at least in recent memory). The 2001 Mariners had fewer wins, but they were 63-24 (.724). The Sox should finish with 11 more games played in the 1st half than them.

Word is that they're looking for a pitcher to come out of the bullpen who doesn't rely on a 96 mph fastball. They want someone who can throw junk for a little change of pace.
