Amazing result for Bayern

Given how Liverpool has faired on the road this year in the UCL you are right.

But remember The reds get that first goal then Bayern needs 2 to advance.

Very true. Liverpool is not in a terrible position considering it was a 0-0 draw and not a 2-2 draw or something like that.

All they have to focus on is not losing.

Force a draw and you're either in ET or you advance on away goals.

I think Liverpool has a slight advantage. Bayern has to win, Liverpool can tie and go through. Although being in Munich helps since Liverpool sucks on the road in UCL games. Also, Liverpool gets Van Dyke back, Bayern still has no Muller and now no Kimmich. The Kimmich loss is bigger. Who plays right back? Rafinha? I think the backs could be Sule moving to the outside with Boateng / Hummels center with Alaba left. Where was Goretza today? Injured? Kovac needs to come up with a better attacking scheme w/o sacfricing defense as they must score. They really played a tight defensive game today but never really threatened offensively especially in the 2nd half. Most passive Bayern team I have seen in a long time.

Exactly, not that I expect them to actually do any of that. But the next leg is not until March so it gives Klopp a chance to see how things go in the premier league until then.

But yeah a 0-0 draw is much different than a 2-2 draw.

It’s a snow day here in PA!

I get the Juventus game. Kinda wish it was the City game but oh well.

Let’s go Schalke!

Let’s Go Atlético!

Juve in big trouble lol. Man City in good shape even if they draw as it stands.

There it is: no Juve road goal and 2 for Atletico. Diego Simeone masterpiece! Uphill battle for Juve.

Lmao i love me some Atletico

Definitely an uphill battle for Juve. If any team can come back from 2 down to Atleti at home, it's Juve, but it's going to be tough as Atleti don't concede much home or away and are so well organized and disciplined in defense. And it's not just their defenders, the whole team plays defense, if you watch, you even see Griezmann and the other forwards getting back in defense. The other thing that helps is they love Simeone and would run through walls for him, you don't see too many teams like that. Another thing is Oblak, IMO one the the most underrated GKs in the world, everyone talks about Neuer, Allison, Buffon, etc but the last few years, Oblak has been just as good as any of them.

I'd love to see Atletico win it all, and if they knock out Juventus, they have to be considered one of the main favorites, especially with Costa and Koke coming back.

Wow Ajax with 2 quick away goals on Real Madrid.

Now lead 3-2 on aggregate

That Ajax team gave Bayern fits in the UCL stage...so no surprise here. In fact, I thought they were better than Bayern.
