Is defense hiding under a rock this season for the NBA?
Not only the Sixers but other teams around the league it seems that defense is not being played

Scores are high and I know part of that has to do with the tweak to the shot clock (re: resetting to 14 seconds after an offensive rebound) but I didn't think that tweak is the sole cause of these high scores

Also I'm not sure if the last shot by the Sixers in OT was planned - throwing it to Embiid for the 3 - but if it was can Coach Brown please stop

You have Redick shooting well - just hit a nice 3 - and you throw it to Embiid???
I would rather put my money on Redick getting open for the 3 than relying on Embiid for the 3 even if he was open (which he wasn't totally open)

Man that Kwahi for saric, Covington, fultz and a #1 doesnt look too bad now. It would have been a steal for the Sixers since saric, Covington and fultz are playing like shit right now.

The team is trying to build itself into contender. Muscala is starting to find his form. Fultz is slowly getting better.

Honestly Embiid is the guy that I'm probably most concerned with because teams are finding ways to neutralize him. He will need to improve his outlet passing to elevate his game.

Man, I know they started the season earlier this year, but I didn't realize the playoffs got moved up by this much too.

Before the season even started Brett said Redick was going to start the second halves of games. He knows this isn't currently his optimal starting lineup. Ben chooses not to shoot, Dario hasn't found his shot yet (took him a while to get going last year), the Hawks chose to not even guard Fultz, it hurts the floor spacing a bit.

Muscala has been coming around, Shamet looks good for a rookie, Chandler is nearing a return. This team is still trying to develop. The rockets are 1-5 (0-4 at home), the season usually would just be starting right now, relax people.

i missed the game myself and am curious how they lost to the nets.

i know it sucks to admit it but, the warriors are the alabama of the NBA. again, shitty to lose to the nets and I'll probably watch a condensed version of it agains my better judgment.

what we know so far is that Embiid is a boss. Ben needs to learn that he has to shoot 3's. I know he says he never had to take him and the team around him can still function without him doing so, but if teams can play off you because you've never shot one in your year plus in the league, it's a problem. 1-5 shoots them in the league nowadays, you can't let people play off of you in todays game. Shamet is going to be our new Korver/Redick for the next few years. Fultz has ability and Brett needs to learn how to best utilize all of the talent on the team. Embiid is the focal and needs to be. Dario needs to get his shit together, but I'm not worried. For whatever reason I've always compared him with Mirotic, mainly because I think they were brought up in trade talks somewhere along the lines. Dude lit it up to start the year. Dario can do the same when he's on.

Also, Cov quietly having a great start to the season. I wouldn't read the above paragraph either. Terrible run on ramblings.

They only have 2 offensive threats right now, Embiid and Redick. Instead of comparing Simmons to lebron, he's more like Ricky Rubio. Anytime Simmons is ur leading scorer, chances are the Sixers got blown the hell out.

trust the process that got this team to, IMO, its ceiling, which was East semis last year

this team as presently constructed will barely make playoffs and lose in 1st round

team needs to dump Brown as well as most of roster and start again
