Yeah- No doubt about that.

Curious where in Iowa are you guys from? I am in Iowa City. Go to every home game and a few road games.

i live in newton. we make it up to 1 or 2 football & basketball games a year and have season tix to wrestling. the only rule in my house is if the cy word is said it is 20 minutes in the corner!

Ahhh yes Newton. I go by there a lot... Have a friend who lives in Grinnell, and I go to Des Moines quite a bit. Was at the Newton bowling alley a year or so ago... They really need to do a better job keeping their pins on the floor. They randomly fall over.

Oh yeah and be thankful you moved out of Waterloo.

I've only been back a couple times since '87. What's exactly going on there? It was always pretty rough after dark on the East side and I know the economy tanked with John Deere, but what's the deal?

I always thought it was a great place to grow up.

I've lived in some pretty crappy areas in my life. Waterloo might have a sluggish economy, but it's not East St Louis or even East San Diego. People need to use common sense and not put themselves in bad situations. The town doesn't even crack the top 75 for most dangerous cities.

The HS sports teams have done squat in the last 30 years. Any good players most be going to CF.

Yeah, obviously nothing like East St. Louis, Detroit, Chicago all those heavily populated cities, but still pretty bad for Iowa... Seems to be a shooting every day in that town anymore, which is very uncommon for Iowa. Hopefully it tames down a bit.

It sorta reminds me of Rockford, IL. Just not much going on there and while not a "dangerous" city compared to your average big city, still too much going on for a smaller area.

Went to practice on Sat. Offense looked smooth. Love the DL and LB's. Need the young secondary to step up and we will be fine on D.
