2 straight drafts where we go forward heavy with our premier picks.

The Russian in the 4th could be a steal if he gets his head on straight. The goalie in the 5th was strange (21 years old?) but I have faith there's a method to their madness, also, it was a 5th round pick.

Yeah he can go one of 2 ways. This motivates him to work his ass off (he was projected mid first round for awhile, has the skill but work ethic wasn't there) or he goes the lazy KHL route.

I'm ok by the offense surge, I think I can see the bigger picture here.... perhaps collecting assets for future trades or perhaps skilled players for ourselves in the future.

Though I was expecting a little more defensive aid early.

the mueller trade was really the 2nd round pick that probably would've been used to draft a d man. which im completely fine with. instead of having to draft a kid and let him develop for 2 years we can see what hes like right now.


remember when gelinas merrill larrson were suppose to be our core d men? lol

No reason to take a defenseman if they weren't there. 2 quality D men went right away in the 2nd Rd, if they drop to is we probably take one.

Instead take BPA and hope you can flip some offensive depth for defensive help down the road.

you'd hope those injury flags were nothing more than temporary smoke but not a friendly start for him....

Glad he is not a Devils problem, but at the same time, I do feel bad for Nolan. Guy just has terrible injury luck.

i do think this isn't much to worry about but still just the amount of bad luck this kid has. he could be their lindross 2.0
