1)

I'm torn between McGrady MVP and Canada, or Mugsy Bogues and USA.

I'll go with McGrady and Canada.

Shout-out to tennis player Milos Raonic, who's been looking forward to this.

2) The World Team doesn't look good outside of Jokic and Porzingis.

I'll go with LaVine or Parker and USA. How about Parker and USA, just because he's coming back from injury from last year.

3) Fredette and the East

4) Jeremy Evans and painting, or Barnes and the Saxophone.

Let's go with former Dunk champ Evans.

I wonder if he'll win if he paints a skinny nude of Barkley.

5) Isaiah Thomas, because he's fast.

6) Thompson, Redick, or Bosh.

I'll pick Thompson, but I want Bosh to win.

7) Lavine

8) I want Miller, but will pick Drake.

9) Kyle Lowry and the East.

I have not paid attention to the Jazz as much as I should, let alone the NBA. I'll say someone repeats their dunk contest award and the East, despite Kobe and Curry, will win. But that's solely based upon the fact that the eighth place of the Eastern Conference is better than the eighth place of the Western Conference. I don't actually know the teams... or the dunkers.

That's fine. Whatever analysis you provide is fine. I just like reading how people think.

So, this gives me your thought process.

Watching on the DVR.

Talent competition:

* Jeremy Evan's painting was great.
* Norris Cole on the piano was also good.
* I thought Mike Muscala's rhymes were ok, he should have been in the final 5. He then tweeted that TNT screwed him and just piece-mealed his rap AND beats.

Skillz Challenge:

* DeMarcus Cousins was horrible. My god.

He lost the ball dribbling.

He couldn't complete a pass.

He was slow.

He only won the 1st round because Anthony Davis kept missing 3's, which bought Cousins time to catch up.

Then in the 2nd round, Cousins missed all of his passes again, while Anthony Towns lapped him and quickly hit his 3-ointer.

Isaiah Thomas was great, especially in the 2nd round when he was flawless.

In the finals, Anthony Towns just beat out Isaiah Thomas, although both needed a bunch of attempts for their 3-pointer.

Thomas though has nothing to hang his head about, as he was the best overall competitor over all 3 rounds.

The bracket format is all right.

I do wish though we'd know the times, just for comparison sake. Even though the course is a little different over past years, I still want to know how long these guys are taking.

Starting the 3-point shootout now.

Shaq also kept talking, from his booth, while Anthony Towns was giving his speech. So we couldn't hear Anthony Towns.

TNT and Shaq screwed up, that was lame.

Will Barton had 1 good dunk.

Drummond deserved better in his score (not that it would mattered in terms of making the Finals.)

Aaron Gordon had the two best dunks, with the last 2 of the 3 that were over the Stuff The Magic Dragon Mascot. I liked the one where the mascot was spinning the best.

Gordon and LaVine should have both won. This is an exhibition contest judged qualitatively, and they both put on a great show. Neither deserved to lose.

3 point shootout was also good.

Nice to see Michael Buffer.

I was talking with someone and he said that the All-Star events were lame, and he's a big NBA fan. And I said he was looking at it from the wrong perspective. If you could have the best players play with each other or have a guy who doesn't typically shoot threes or a guy who is all business in real games, wouldn't you like to see them play together? It's like Einstein talking to Newton talking to DaVinci, would be awesome to geeks. Now, could we get the best to play defense? Not unless a scoring record is on the line, I suppose. As long as no one gets injured, I'm happy... Having said that, I didn't see the game and my DVR skipped it again despite my direct recording of it. I have too many videos saved up to replace it.

All Star Saturday was good. And the Talent Challenge portion with Jeremy Evans was good.

You should stop recording videos on how doorknobs are made, or how sprinklers work.
