5 Minutes to lights out.

Haven't been this excited to watch a race in a while. Get it Georgie!

George gets a rocket start, and Leclerc hits Perez and in turn that sends Verstappen into the wall. 3 of the 4 top challengers to George out by turn 3.

On the safety car restart, George takes off again and has a major gap.

Russell was leading, when the car he should be driving crashed and caused a safety car. Mercedes pitted (when they didn't need to) and mixed up his tires and put two of Valterri Bottas tires on Russell's car so he had to come in again. On the restart he was fifth, made his way back to second and was in position to attack for the win in the last few laps when he got a puncture and had to come in again and came back out in 15th with ten laps to go.

That's the pits.

Russell recovers to 9th and scores the first points of his career, pending the outcome of an investigation for having the wrong tires on the car.

Sergio Perez, who has never won before and was muscled out of a drive for next year by a Billionaire's kid and a whiny former champion, wins after being involved in a first lap wreck and getting bounced back to last place.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Glad the Champ is healthy and all, but I am an F1 die hard and have been since the grid featured Lauda, Prost, Senna, Berger and Mansell. And it's been like 5 years since I was that excited to watch a race as I was last weekend.

The moment Lewis found out that Silverstone race circuit in England is renaming the Front Straight to the Hamilton Straight. F1 has been racing there since 1947 and they have never named any part of the track after a driver before.

Personally would have rather seen Nico Hulkenberg get it, but Sergio is at the top f his game right now.

I hope to God he finishes ahead of Max Verstappen regularly.

They cancelled the Vietnam race and left the date open. Right before Spain. Might have a chance...

/Yeah right, they're just waiting for the next dictator to give them a billion dollars lol
Well I’ll be fucked it looks like they’re going to go with entertainment instead of dictator money for once!

They are still racing in Saudi Arabia, though...

I am glad they took Turkey off there. In addition to the psychotic government there, the track sucked.

Oh theyre not swearing off dictator money in general (don’t be silly!), just passed on one bag of money for what was an exciting track at a locale I’d love to attend when things are back to normal in 2032.

Australia, Silverstone and Canada are all on the bucket list for me. Each one is it's own massive party.

I can't imagine how crazy it will get if Ricciardo is in a position to win the Australian GP.

I miss Montreal GP weekend badly. It’s really one of the best atmospheres you can find for a sports event. The entire city gets into it, it’s pretty amazing.

I’m a big Ferrari guy so I’d love to do one of the Italian stops someday.

You should probably wait a few years :) For a couple reasons.

This Toronto Archives pic showed up on my feed and my eyes were immediately drawn to the Citroen in the foreground with the LICENSE PLATE TUCKED BACK BEHIND A GRILL SHIELD?!
