The kid's heart is in the right place I think. He wants it bad. I think he made that rant that as a self motivational ploy. Like now he has to live up to all he talked about in his rant.

Blackshirt or not, he'll be a key part of this teams success this year.

I wouldn't call him a back-up. He's more of what a 6th man is for a basketball team. He can still go in there and ball out. There won't be a drop off.

The truth of it is, he will 100% be playing on Sundays along with a lot of those guys in the secondary.

When it comes to physical attributes (frame, range, size etc.) there aren't a whole lot better looking corners in the country than Jonathan Rose.

One specific reason why he may be named starter for this week is because he's a long rangy guy and we will be dealing with TWO 6'6" wide receivers on the field at the same time.

So maybe Rose was in a dead heat with the next guy at that spot, and his size was the determining factor.

Daniel Davie said that himself and Kalu were up to the task of guarding BYU's big receivers...so i think that OR might be more in Kalu's favor right now

someone on the radio said neither Rose-Ivey nor J. Rose got blackshirts today.

they said they saw 11 at practice. odd thing being that Kevin Williams was one of the 11. Said 4 DBs, 2 LBs and 5 D-lineman.

they thought maybe that meant they were probably suspended for the first game.
