Interesting..... And probably fair. I think I'll be surprised if Dunlap gets 9 sacks and I think AJ could have a bigger year if he's healthy and playing for a monster deal.

I guess Croft, Uzomah, Hewitt, Burkhead are going to get no balls.

I also think that they are going to keep Dalton from being the scape goat again, and I bet Jackson runs Hill, Bernard, Burkhead into the ground this year. I bet all the backs combine for nearly 500 carries on the ground. Ground and pound with some play actions and and most of the passing targets going to Green and Eifert. I also think that 32 catches for Hill is high, but I think the receptions for Bernard are low. I am thinking more around 25 receptions for Hill and maybe about 75+ for Bernard.

I would almost try out a wishbone formation with our offense and the run blockers we have. Put Hill, Bernard and Hewitt in that backfield at the same time maybe 20 times a game. Can run behind Hewitt, run opposite using him as a decoy, or pass to Bernard, or play action to Eifert down the seam, or Green on a fly. I think sacks are probably pretty accurate, but they fail to mention how many I think the rest of that DL gets in Sims and Clarke.

I will honestly be disappointed if Tate makes the team more less gets 7 passes after drafting Mario Alford.

Oh well, most of that will not happen as I am sure Jackson is much smarter than me when it comes to this. I would just like to see us utilize the real talent on our offense more often. Then of course limit Dalton in his ability to implode.

Dunlap has been pretty incredible. At the age of 26 he is entering his prime and is due for a few monster seasons.

They will update this through preseason. You will see those guys as the preseason progresses and they are able to determine who will get the playing time.

Also, Hill had 27 catches last year and he didn't play a lot the first 5-6 weeks. 32 seems pretty realistic. Bernard would need about 90-100 targets next year to get 75 receptions.

I'm sure at least one of our porcelain doll wide receivers/tight ends will be injured at some point, so these guys may get some balls.

If you think back to last year at this time, everyone was talking about how much Hue was going to run the football. But it's a passing league..... And he has to pass, so he can't be too run heavy.

That all depends on Jeremy Hill and that offensive line along with Hewitt. They lineup in run situation, everyone and their brother knows they are running it and they still get 4 to 5 yards, Hue will run the shit out of the ball.

Nothing takes the air out of an opposing offense more than watching their opponent drive 80 yards on 14 plays and scoring a TD in 7+ minutes.

disclaimer: Hue doesn't put any "shit" in the balls, and we will not be taking any "air" out of anything.

Just stop..... Please. The last game we played was against the number 18 defense in the league on a day where they knew we had to run because our passing game was decimated due to injury. We scored 10 points, Hill averaged 3.6 per carry and we were out of the game by the 4th quarter.

It just doesn't work that way.

Yeah, we were decimated which means there was zero threat in the air, so while they knew it was coming, they could also go full out. If there is at least a credible threat, they have to account for it even if they know we are running the ball. Green, Eifert and Bernard play a huge part in that.

It is much different knowing we are going to run and also knowing we CAN'T throw the ball, versus knowing we are going to run, but have to account for legit threats in the passing game. Plus, I think our offensive line will be better with Andre Smith back for the season and a year under Bodine's belt. We will have much better depth in case of injury as well. Hewitt being a main cog and one of the leagues best FB's now, and Jeremy Hill with the starting job from the beginning and confidence he can do this. I think our run game improves even over last years squad in the second half. Hill I bet beats Rudi Johnson's franchise record for rushing yards in a season.

I see us using running back by committee and varying who plays based on the game plan of the week.

If you factor in the games AJ left early because of injury plus the games he was inactive he probably missed close to a quarter of the season. He's a 1400 yd receiver if healthy. I might knock it down to 1300 yds and 9 tds because the NFCW, the Bills and some other top defenses are on the schedule

he's not durable enough to play an entire season so I wouldn't worry about it.

I think last year was mostly a fluke..... He got turf toe and it's tough to get rid of. Messed up a lot of his year.

They might want to rethink some of the slants they throw him if Dalton can't learn to get the ball down.

Bottom line, it's an offense with many weapons, both running and receiving, and an offensive line capable of both blocking the run and protecting the quarterback. Dalton will have zero excuses when he falls flat on his face, assuming we can keep the receivers and backs healthy.

Dalton is going to be awesome until it's time to go fishing.

The people in Cincinnati don't pay for playoff packages, unless they are stupid; however, many of them do pay for season tickets and that's Andy's job, to entertain you during the regular season. Everything above and beyond that he has not agreed to and winning playoff games interferes with fishing. when you come to grips with that... you're on your way to recovery -Bengals anonymous
