Chargers sign DT Brandon Moore

DJ Monroe, Brandon Moore sign free agent deals - Burnt Orange Nation

Sleeper here. This kid is 6'5 and 320lbs. He was a JUCO transfer to Texas. He was rated by many as the #1 DT in the country in JUCO. Only played 1 season at Texas and got injured near the end. Left after his junior year, surprisingly.

He has never really gotten a chance to show what he could do. The Texas coaching staff was really high on this kid, and showed flashes of brilliance at times. Don't be surprised if he not only makes the team, but isn't starting soon.

The Cowboys totally mishandled this guy's career. His biggest asset was his speed. What made him great in college and his rookie year was the fact that he was faster than pretty much everybody on the field. Problem is he would get hurt, so they Cowboys decided it would be a good idea to bulk him up to prevent injury. By doing that they completely eliminted his biggest (only) asset. He's not going to run through people or make tacklers miss with his moves.

Yeah, I saw him play in college, and he and McFadden ravaged our defense a couple of times.

Report: Victor Cruz to sign his $2.879 million restricted free agent tender with New York Giants - NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN

Two people familiar with the contract told The Associated Press on Friday that the restricted free agent with three years in the NFL had signed the tender while he works on a long-term deal with the Giants.

The people spoke on condition of anonymity because the signing has not been announced publicly.

Had the 26-year-old Cruz not signed before Monday, the Giants' offer could have been reduced to $630,000 for the 2013 season. The Giants could have matched any offers Cruz received from other teams.

Cruz skipped all of New York's offseason program, but will be required to show up at training camp beginning in late July.
