Report: Urlacher and Vikings have had talks | ProFootballTalk

The Bears and linebacker Brian Urlacher haven’t come to an agreement for his return, leaving the door open for another NFC North team to bend Urlacher’s ear.

Mike Mulligan of the Chicago Tribune reports that a Vikings source confirms that there have been talks with Urlacher’s camp in recent days. The source said that the Vikes would be “monitoring” the situation, but the team still believes that Urlacher will eventually wind up remaining in Chicago.

But maybe smoke with no fire.

Still can't believe Welker to Denver! They are gonna be crazy good.

They still need to sure up the defensive backfield, but offensively all they need now is a second running back. Should be a good season in Denver next year.

Well, there you go - Pats go right out and sign Amendola:

Real head-scratcher how he's going to get a 5-year deal for slightly more (on average) than Welker is costing the Broncos for 2 years.

Amendola is 27 so a 5 yr deal did not scare the Pats. He is injury prone though so not sure this was a good move. If the Pats go out and get someone very good for the defense I will be happy enough. Welker was never going to resign with the Pats anyways so I was not at all shocked by him going to Denver.
