2011 Minor leagues

3 of the 4 minor league teams (I don't follow rookie league or short season ball) made the playoffs this year:

1. Augusta plays at Savannah tonight in game 1 of a three game series, winner advances to the league championship
2. San Jose has a bye and waits for an opponent for game 1 at home Saturday; winner advances to the LC
3. Richmond, with a miraculous finish, hosts Harrisburg in game 1 of the SAL division series Friday night.
4. Fresno had a poor year, with very little pitching once Song was called up.


All in all, a nice and promising year in the minors.

Update as of 9/12:
1. Augusta lost both road games at Savannah this weekend to lose their playoff series; their season is now over.
2. San Jose is tied 1-1 with Stockton in their best-of-five series and plays at Stockton tonight and tomorrow.
3. Richmond swept Harrisburg 3-0 in their series (they got to play all three games at home b/c of flooding in Harrisburg). They move on to face New Hampshire in the LCS starting Friday at Richmond.
4. Fresno is still waiting for Spring Training.
