Watched this over the past few days.

Someone had called this the greatest clay court match he'd seen.

It would definitely be up there. It would have been higher had I not already known who was going to win.

The first two sets felt like they had a ton of errors.

When they showed stats for the 2nd set, both had roughly 7 winners, 16 unforced errors. So my perception was right.

That 3rd set though, wow. I did not know Capriati had served for the match 2x, and Clijsters fought off elimination and broke back both times. I'm not going to call it a choke because Capriati made most of her serves. Clijsters just won the rallies.

Because of what happened in the 3rd set, that's where the best drama was.

It was funny in the postgame how Capriati said she needed to learn French for next year. Then during her speech, Clijsters spoke in French.

It was weird though how they gave the champion her trophy first, then the runner up.
