The group think is overwhelming I guess? Kinda like the 3 pointers at all costs in the NBA? I was never a pull power hitter in high school or youth ball, so bunting and just putting the ball in play holds more interest to me than these guys aiming for the seats on every swing.
3 pointers at all costs have been shown to be how you win games. Home runs same thing I guess. I don't see the harm in banning the shift. They didn't use it much until recently, just go back to that.

does anyone think, that at least for the playoffs- that Schroeder will be as good or better than Rondo was for the Lakers last year? I certainly dont.

I dont think Drummond and or Gasol will be as good as Howard was last year either.

This has been said for years and teams aren't doing it. Don't they want to win?
Apparently not because the clubs don’t reward the right stats to do just that

Or maybe it doesn't correlate to winning. 'Apparently not' LOL

You have very strong opinions but they aren't always on target

So basically about a month off... for a severe high ankle sprain?

cmon man... Barkley, NY Giants , 22 years old, missed an entire season with an high ankle sprain... they say that’s one of the worst injuries a player can sustain... and lebalding only missed 1 month?

that doesn’t sound suspicious to you?

does lebalding eat magical grits?

For real?

First off, 27 games is closer to 2 months.

Second, the timeline for a high ankle sprain is generally 4-8 weeks depending on severity.

Third, LeBron is a freak of nature.

Fourth, high ankle sprain is bad, but not even close to one of the worst injuries a player can sustain.

Fifth, watching him play right now he doesn’t seem as agile as he was prior to getting hurt. So my guess is that he is playing at less than 100% and NOT fully healed.

It's one game against a team with a 7ft center (albeit a much more agile one). McGee/Howard got minutes early in last years' playoffs and were essentially benched later on in favor of AD at the 5 and Morris. Hopefully Vogel adjusts from here like he did last year.

You might not have the luxury of a month of games for Vogel to figure that out this time.

the pick is to top 3 protected. So they could get 4 or 5
I;m not sure I understand that. Does that mean if Minnesota is the worst team then the Warriors don't get the pick?

it depends on the results of the lottery. If Minnesota finishes in the top 3 in the lottery they retain the pick. If they do not finish in the top 3 then the pick conveys to the Warriors.

there is only about a 27% chance Minnesota keeps the pick and it lands in the top 3 after they won some games at the end of the year

in this draft there are 5 big time prospects.

Hopefully it works out for the Warriors

I wonder if coming back in the game he got so hurt in to keep a silly record going had any affect.

I think that would be a huge mistake. The only thing wrong with baseball is no one seems to care about anything but home runs. Getting on base used to mean something, that’s baseball to me. Hit it where it’s pitched and realize home runs aren’t for everyone. Probkem can be fixed very easily.
How?

I think I spelled it out, take what the pitcher gives you instead of swinging for the fence every damn pitch. Small ball fixes this.
Are you going to go around telling people who to draft and who to pay? Who are you going to hire to scold players who dont bat the way you want them too?

Lmao you are talking about people already in place throughout every single organization. It starts with scouting.
