Might as well, right?

Got to swallow my pride a bit in this one going up against a fellow NWI product in Popovich.

Nuggs in six.

Feel like the SPURS possibly caught a huge break in how it all unfolded
The only three teams that would be death for them in round 1 are the Warriors, Rockets, and Jazz.

They can actually play with the Nuggets, Blazers, and Thunder more so than the teams on the other side.
And the Nuggets would actually be my choice of the 3 to play.

It doesnt make it easy. It just means that the worst nightmare scenarios were conveniently avoided.
Obviously, Denver will be the heavy favorites and it is no guarantee to even win a single game.

But, the SPURS got the exact pathway they needed to have at least a punchers chance.

Nuggets were 2-2 this year against the Spurs so I would’ve rather them play OKC who they swept or LA who they were 3-1 against but the Spurs shouldn’t be too difficult for them. Of course if they show up like they did for 95% of the game against Minnesota tonight the Spurs have a really good chance.

Time for Spurs to meet playoff Derozan. Jokic's brothers beat the shit out of Pop after game 2 for being rude to a sideline reporter.

I think this series goes 7. I'm gonna roll with the Nuggets by a narrow margin.

I got the Spurs. But DeRozan fucking sucks in the playoffs though. Hmm...

I think this one goes 7 games and I respect San Antonio's chances.

I live in Denver and rarely miss a Nuggets game. They are fun to watch and play the game the right way--i.e., good D, lots of movement and unselfish sharing of the ball. However, I think they are one player and one year of playoff experience away from making a serious splash. They need one go-to player who can consistently get a crucial bucket in crunch time against brutal playoff defense. I can't think of a single championship NBA team who did not have at least one such player. As far as the first round, I'm wary because the Spurs have strong momentum coming in and the Nuggets not so much. Go Joker!!

That reminds me of another team, one that's had a lot of success lately...

But yes you have it right, no team goes deep in the playoffs first time in (other than unusual situations like LeBron and other allstars showing up). Warriors got beat in 2014 pretty early. The rest was history.
