The Q
Hoop’s Villain, Reality’s Hero
It's going to be no play no pay.
Good luck with that.
Especially when teams are intentionally sitting guys
It's going to be no play no pay.
It’s not for me to decide, but you can bet it will keep a pos from from making fun of those with real issues. You can take this to the bank.Which will…ban players from Having mental health issues?
Intentionally sitting and not playable sre two separate things.Good luck with that.

Intentionally sitting and not playable sre two separate things.
If a player can't play because he doesn't feel right, could be without pay soon
We don't know yet.Tell me exactly what that rule is
Go ahead
I don't believe they will target legitimate injuries. They may try to bring back some type of amnesty clause.
But not paying injured players simply isn’t going to happen.

I think it's more about the guys who won't play if they aren't 100% and the ones that holdout for a trade.
Things have been going the players way for a long, long time. It took a real idiot to screw that up.I don't believe they will target legitimate injuries.

Injured players will almost certainly be paid, especially if that injury occurred during any team activity. They may try to bring back some type of amnesty clause.

You are looking at this from the perspective of someone who believes he has the type of debilitating mental health issues that would preclude him from participating. So, let me get this straight…
Because he isn’t just walking away from a $30 million paycheck that is your proof?
Cmon man.
Now.....this is a sticking point.Good luck with that.
Especially when teams are intentionally sitting guys
Agree. That is an issue, but I doubt the player’s association will let that go.

We are looking at it as him being a bitch, holding out for a trade, refusing to play. But, expecting the 76ers to honor a contract that he himself decided to ignore.
It's pretty easy to see where the disconnect comes from.
I just don’t think in the world we live in now days that the sixers would act the way they did if they didn’t have some pretty serious proof of what the guy was doing. Then, as I have said many times, we have the fact that no one is siding with this guy. That simply does not happen with the current state of things in the nba. If he had a real problem someone would be on his side. Not really mentioned is the fact that this is a HUGE bkack eye for Klutch Sports, no way around it.You are looking at this from the perspective of someone who believes he has the type of debilitating mental health issues that would preclude him from participating.

But cases like Simmons will likely be addressed.
I believe there’s already injury clauses in most contracts that say if your injured in high risk events you are in a contract violation. They may just reword the CBA saying if you can't play for any non NBA issue the team doesn’t have to pay.

Come on, he has been getting lit up like no one in the league has in a long time. No way one player doesn’t speak up on his behalf if there was anything to it. It’s sad honestly.Or, no one wants to weigh in on someone’s mental health
For the sixers to win they have to prove he’s faking it
Now.....this is a sticking point.
Owners can't have it both ways.

You are stuck on the mental health portion only.Mental health issues are protected in the current cba
So, this would still happen under whatever rule you wanna make
