Eww, this sucks. We miss out on about 15 of the top 20 players of all time. Then, UK and I get the probably the worst draft position out of the deal.

I do agree.

With only 5 teams we had to limit the pool.

But limiting it and including Gretzky just makes it worse

We have done two NHL drafts before this one, one was a current draft but the one that was an open draft the team that had Gretzky didn't win...

Because I could get Orr immediately after and a load of other legends.

That's the point of what Fem was saying. This window only has a few all timers. Making Gretzky more valuable and also leaving off so many great guys

Agreed but having Gretzky still isn't gonna win this one by himself. We had to limit the pool as you obviously know, next NHL draft we can hopefully change it up to not include Gretzky...

Also the guy with the first pick didn't take Gretzky because he thought(correctly) that the goalie was the key to a winning team.

And that's why it's good getting some of the greats in there learn them. I think UK and Milk have picked up on some guy's last couple drafts.

But yeah, it was gonna be hard to limit. Just feel it's tough allowing Gretzky and keeping out most other greats.

At the time Jones was still all potential, but not a lot of production. It was short sighted though, Jones has always had the potential to be amazing
