Buckle up!!
A review of the 1990s shows that only 5 players from all the drafts have scored 1000 points in the NHL. I found that number low. Some players from the decade will almost surely reach the milestone (iggy, Thornton and Hossa spring to mind immediately), but almost a dozen years after the last 90s draft the number seems low.
The players, their totals, year and their draft position (round)/overall.
Jaromir Jagr - 1599 pts - 1990 - (1)/5
Keith Tkachuk - 1065 pts - 1990 - (1)/19
Doug Weight - 1033 pts - 1990 - (2)/34
Daniel Alfredsson - 1022 pts - 1994 - (6)/133
Alex Kovalev - 1012 pts - 1991 - (1)/15
Points of interest for me in my work induced boredom is that these 5 compare with 35 from the 1980s. Three individual years in the 80s had at least 5 1000 point getters. This discrepancy is further evidence of the dead puck era and its effects on the career stats of a generation of NHL players.
Also interested to see that in the 90s group there isn't a single 1st overall pick in the group.
