I really like team EIGHT but an all righty lineup swings this one easily for me.

I VOTE TEAM SEVEN

I'll admit, this matchup gives me a migraine. At first glance, team 8 has the better lineup and a little better bullpen, arguably a better staff....BUT.....they start 9 right handed bats....facing a prime Nolan Ryan and Schilling, with no left handed sticks, is just too big a disadvantage in a matchup like this where everyone is so good. I also think Gonzalez would have fit a lot better at LF/2 hole. I've changed the winner 3 times, sticking this time, Team 7 wins 4 games to 3

The all righty lineup affected my initial rankings. And it affects my vote.

Team 7.

I'm going to have to go 7 as well.

8 has a pretty nice combo of speed and power at the top but the all righty order is tough for me. Team 7's staff would do a good job of navigating around that

I also really like what team 7 could do with it's bench. Neither bench blows me away but I see more potential with 7's if managed properly.

Darn... You noticed I didn't put r/l in the lineup!

Sigh....

I think my team easily wins game one with Clemens v Ryan.... The rest are toss ups....

I'll vote for 7 and will try to put more thought into my next baseball team!

You're team overall was as good as anyone's I thought. Originally had you ranked top 3. But I pick the matchup as if these two squads were really playing each other, and there's no doubt that was the difference

Team 7 with a great powerful lineup, great defense up the middle at CF, SS, 2B and C and a dynamic trio in the rotation.

Team 8 went way too much for nothing but power. When you're lead off was a guy who threatened to hit 40 every year (and rarely lead off at that) that is a problem in my book. Looks like a lot of home runs in this line up, but without a lot of guys who can do anything else (I know Edgar was a gap double hitter, and Sax had little power) then there's gonna be too many solo shots to create any real damage.

Thanks. I definintely had some drafting issues. I was originaly focused on picking the best individual seasons... Then I relaized I had no leadoff hitter... Then I realized I had no lefties... Then it was too late...

Hey wait... Can I pitch Clemens in games 1, 3 & 7! I'm sure I steroids can help him recover quickly....
