I think I need to repick. 5 seconds after that pick my fire alarm goes off, I start running in to check it out. I am wearing my fluffy new socks from Christmas. Slipped on the hardwood and slid across the floor through the door to my daughter's room. .......all because some cheese fell into the stove. My back is fucked up. 280 dies not go down lightly. I feel like this is a bad omen for my pick

You ok?

I cant believe Jahri Evans made it to me. My offensive line is still amazing and I was able to pick up Williams, Merry Christmas to me.

I did text Femur.

I am good, I just am never drafting adrian wilson again. My wife laughed and said "Normaly your are pretty agile for a big fella". It was not helpful. After I have had time to settle it looks like tweaked back and hurt elbow. Nothing big. The door learned it's lesson though.

I think people are over valuing the current players a bit. I'm just as excited that Ruben Brown fell to me. Or maybe I'm over valuing the older guys... not sure which.

Nice pick WLK, good player but I don't like him cuz he ripped Moss...

A game against the Redskins years ago the Skins scored late to give them the lead, I believe it was with 2 seconds left, Moss was so pissed he walked off the field and Birk ripped him for it, saying that wasn't the right thing to do and blah blah blah, I would rather have players who get pissed that they lost than have guys who hug at midfield after the game! FU Birk!

Its like baseball players who get upset that somebody broke a precious unwritten rule lol.

I always take way more current players than anybody else I feel like and I tend to think theyre underated. Like take Beckham - who cares that hes only played 2 seasons, the dudes clearly a HOFer. Im not gonna hold it against him that hes only 23.

He's not clearly a hall of famer, though. A big part of the hall of fame is longevity. Yes, if he keeps up this pace for 7 more years, he'll have a good case. But he has a long way to go still.

I'm with Femur on this one, Odell clearly has special talent but if he blows out a knee week 17 and is done, he wont get a HOF vote ever. Let's see him do it 7,8,9 years before we go putting him in the HOF.

I love both guys and they would have been my selections but Hutch is dominant... I have arguably 1 and 2 at Guard... Allen was all-at RG as well as LG so moving him to right without protest is nice too... Like I told Nos at the trade I hate losing Williams but having the best oline in the draft should do well for me...

As for old vs young, I think this draft (years wise) is a little different than most... I sure wanted Beckham... But I don't think he was worth such an early selection... But who's he being compared to...? Thinking about it like that he might be a top 8 receiver...

Oh obviously if he gets hurt and is never the same no - but the point is the talent is there. I view the players in these drafts on their peak and I dont need to see any more of Odell for me to say hes better right now than a LOT of HOFers ever were.

In this draft Im putting Moss, and Brown above him. And that might be it. Maybe Calvin too.

I did forget about TO being in this and Ritz has ridiculous WRs, but Fitz and OD is honestly close.

I just took Steve Smith and I'd take him over OB every day

Thats insane IMO.

OD has 2 1300 yard seasons and 2 12 TD seasons - in 2 seasons (neither complete).
Smith has 3 1300 yard seasons and 1 12 TD season (the rest 8 or less) - in 15 seasons.

Smiths best season per game puts him at 1550/12 or 1630/7. ODs "worst" puts him at 1600/15.

And I love Steve Smith. I think hes a GREAT pick.

Do people list Billy Sims when they talk best running backs of all time? Nope, he deserves to be there on talent because he was amazing from his first day in the NFL but injury killed a promising career and I would bet he's not in most anyones top 30 and he's got no shot at the HOF.

Thats not the point though. Theoretically in these mocks Im putting my best guys against your best guys in 1 game and seeing who's better. And Im assuming we get these people at their peak. And theres no way in hell Im taking Steve Smith at his peak over Beckham at his peak regardless if Beckham tears every ligament in his body tomorrow morning or not.

Stats are irrelevant today, It's a different game today than it was 10 years ago. Smith had a season where he lead the league in yards, receptions and yards per catch. Beckham is great and makes some spectacular catches, but I also saw a wide open TD clank off his hands last week and saw him piss on his team last week with his antics and maybe cost his team the playoffs with a suspension

Maybe other people dont look at is as much about players at their peaks as I do though which is fine I guess since we all have our own ways of evaluating these things. But thats what I do. I know the one draft I pointed out that peak Wade has at least a case of being better than peak Kobe and got laughed at. But thats why you'll never see Kobe on any of my teams in this.
