I think there are wars with a clear sense of good and evil and wars where its just men dying in mud.
All wars are bad but WWI is really sickening. Lots of young boys sent over the trench knowing damn well they were being sent to slaughter and for what

Finally got to see this.

Went to an early showing so not so many people there and enjoyed it. Good depiction of what trench warfare was like. Beautiful and haunting film.

Not as good as Saving Private Ryan but that is a high bar.

We have a badass World War 1 Museum here in Kansas City. People don't talk about World War I very much but I find it very interesting

Saw this the other day and really enjoyed it. Thought it would be even more action but it was more anticipation than anything, my only slight on it. Storyline was intriguing and really enjoyed it though.

That's why I watched this one alone. She probably would fall asleep...I feel sorry for all women that don't enjoy a good war movie.

Finally got around to watching this one. Loved it. Man that had one of the most coolest cinematic night scenes I've ever seen in a movie. That shit was beautiful.

I was thinking it'd be more action involved in it as well. I thought that they did a great job of doing it in as real time as possible and making it feel real.

Yeah loved the feel of the movie, it gave a great perspective. A little more action and gore and this one we could have been talking about as an all-time great war movie. Still a great one though.

It had plenty of that. I only ever see that much gore when Michigan plays Ohio State.

There really wasn't much to it as far as character development and plot. But the cinematography was terrific and watching it was a very enjoyable visceral experience. I'm glad I saw it at the theater.

My wife and I saw this one and she enjoyed it. She even picked it of the three we were deciding on. As stated above, we thought there would be more action, but the action that WAS there was done very well. The storyline was excellent and carried out very well. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
