My favorite Brook Berringer moment was in 1994 when he led #3 Nebraska to a 24-7 win over #2 Colorado after Tommie was sidelined with blood clots.

It was Homecoming and Nebraska's 200th consecutive sellout.

I still have the t-shirt they handed out at that gates.

On the back it says "Separate the Contenders from the Pretenders"

Yes it is. I remember that day very well. I think about it every year since then.

It's also my older sister's birthday.

I remember one of her b-day parties getting cancelled when we were kids because of a late blizzard. Like 1969 or 1970. Lotsa cake and goodies left over for my brother and I.

That was a hell of a game but my favorite was the Wyoming game. He played for most of the game with a collapse lung after taking a hard hit running for the end zone. He was one tough kid.
