They have priced all the fans out of that new ballpark. It's been a recurring theme since it opened. But the Goldman Sachs folks will show up tonight, for sure.

It's actually the really expensive seats that are open (Although some of those idiots are in the club under the stands eating free food). The less expensive seats sell out quickly. But like anything else it's supply and demand. If a section sells out all the time they raise them and if they don't sell a section they lower them.

How much has Borax cost Harvey on his next contract by making him look like a malcontent?

Not much...All Harvey ever wanted was to be a Yankee, so him and Bryce arriving in 2018 is inevitable

Correcked. This = why the Mets kept saying "it was a SOFT 180 innings cap!" He has definitely not been overworked.

Again, this team has been so careful to avoid another Generation K debacle. They're actually doing the right thing for a change, and they're STILL getting pushback from Arli$$
It's just an ugly situation all around.

Which makes it an even easier argument for the Mets to make.

Don't like what you're hearing? Change the conversation.

The Mets can make the argument but if they do throw him out there on short rest or even regular rest and he gets hurt you can bet a HUGE lawsuit follows. Harvey was the one who needed to say "I don't know if I'll get this chance again, I'm pitching every 5 days" or the Mets hands are tied

A statement that is the equivalent of 27 time Championships.

I don't even follow hockey. The "original 6" thing is a reference to something Rock said in the past for why he would root for the Rangers. I'm the guy that doesn't know Hockey beyond the Sega '94 rosters.

I usually don't get too wrapped up in "playah X is ovahpaid!" dealies, but I hope this actually does cost him some moolah, if for no other reason than to punish Borass so that he doesn't pull this particular stunt again.

I am typically a fan of Boras as an agent, but I hate when he interferes with what is happening on the field. I felt the same when he was bitching about Kris Bryant being in the minors for a week to start the year.

Word. I know his job is get max money for his clients, but stay out of baseball decisions. And the way he presented all those "doctor's facts" was pretty hilarious. The Mets had THE SAME DAMN FACTS from day one.

Harvey just made a statement. Said there was no excuse, he was completely wrong and apologized to his team and manager

Exactly. All the real fans have to fight over the bleacher seats. The same thing has happened at Fenway.

Now he's saying he was caught in traffic in the tunnel, called and they told him to go home.

Translation = I slept late.

Translation: "I am a malcontent little bitch that is trying to sabotage my team's chances."

If EVER there were any doubt about whether these guys care about winning or money more, here is your best evidence of the latter.

That's what happens when you get 40,000 a night or sell out (Fenway). It's supply and demand capitalism. All sports and concerts are the same way, prices have gone through the roof the last 20 years. My Ranger season tickets went from $22.50 in 2003 to $62 for the same seats in 2013 when I cancelled. AND they moved me and all my friends when they remodeled so we weren't sitting next to each other. That was the final straw, I was sitting with the same people for 10 years.
Now I use that money for more trips to Florida to go fishing and can watch all the games on TV and the internet.

Here's my question: Why the huge emphasis on innings and not on pitches? Isn't there a lot of science that could go into this but both teams and writers seem to take the cheap way out and make the focus on innings counts when you could throw anywhere from 12-40 pitches in an average inning?

Yup! And how come Spring Training innings don't count? Or how about pitches thrown before an inning starts? Or how about when they throw in the bullpen before a game? None of that puts stress on a pitcher's arm?

Some guys care about winning. C.C. just entered rehab but in 2008, in a contract year he pitched over 250 innings, including short rest 3 straight starts to drag the Brewers into the playoffs.

His first year with the Yanks he pitched 260 including the playoffs and took them to a championship.

I wonder if his drinking comes from not being able to handle sucking
