Richards is really good too even though he got blasted at NYY this year, the only "easy" starter would have been Hughes. And if you face Richards, you'd have also had to face the best player in baseball, a sure fire HOFer, and Freese who isn't nearly as good as the others but has gotten very big hits in the postseason before. Neither team would be a cakewalk. Twins would have been the "easiest" of the 3 but I didn't think they had a shot anyway despite being 1GB.

No cake walks, but any RHP would be more welcome to the Yankees lefty heavy lineup in the Bronx, than Kuechel

And yeah, Id walk Trout every time up

I actually might go to my first Hockey game this year with the Islanders coming to Brooklyn.

I'm definitely going to take my son to a few games. Unfortunately, they've been good lately and tickets are going to cost in that new space.

Coincidentally, I read this morning that tix for tonight's game in the Bronx were going for as low as 50$, and averaging around 180, while tickets in Pittsburgh were going for an average of around 300$

Might as well start him and Gardy can be brought off the bench or to pinch run
Young has to be in there tonight. I think he will ground out twice to short, K and then get thrown out at 3rd trying to stretch a double.

Yeah I get that, looks like ARod is the only righty in their regular lineup(not including switch hitters). Better pitcher and being lefty will be tough. But it's still better than being at home watching.

Are you surprised? It doesn't even seem like New Yorkers are interested in this team. Here was Yankee Stadium at first pitch on October 1st. I think Stan's had a bigger crowd:

I can't wait to hear this excuse. Probably hoping to get suspended so he can go to the Rangers opener tomorrow

Weather was absolute shit Thursday night. The game will sell out. I have to admit I stopped going after they opened the new stadium after years of ticket plans. No atmosphere.

HUH? I thought everyone was on the same page. If Boras sabotages my Mets' chances, I am going to be fucking pissed.

You should be pissed already. If they could pitch Harvey more than once in the series they'd pitch him game 2 which would have him on regular rest for game 5 if they needed him. They would also be able to pitch the Viking game 3 at home where he is MUCH better.

Yeah. Funny how a Met fan, whose team averaged about 10,000 less a game than the Yanks is pointing out empty Yankee games on a rainy, cold night.

Boras is a tool and Harvey is a bigger one for listening to him. Ask Steven Drew about Boras' advice. Innings are meaningless, especially when you're Harvey who averaged amongst the fewest pitches per inning this year. All the "medical data" is guess work. They managed his innings and pitches effectively this year and Boras submarined them with that press release.
