The problem with the game moving away from the concept of a starting pitcher is that if you plan on using 6 pitchers every game, you have a much higher possibility of finding one of those pitchers who just isn’t on that night. It also ends up putting much more pressure on the pitchers’ arms because of all the warm up work each time they get into a game.

I can’t imagine this Johnny Wholestaff strategy will last very long.
