Vitello's managerial strategies are interesting. Not a lot of pinch hitting when losing but he's suddenly getting generous with the PH in a game the bench is playing and the team is leading.

Yeah, I've been thinking about how its going to be rough at times while he transitions from college ball to major league ball.

I agree with the above. But at some point you either know baseball or you don’t. I think the bigger thing is looking long time MLB’ers in the eyes and giving them criticism. Bochy can tell Chapman, don’t do that in public and also call him out behind the scenes for that brain dead steal in the 9th. Tony V still has to earn that in my humble opinion

I do wonder how his lack of professional experience is playing out in the clubhouse. If he does give criticism, does it just bounce off because they know he's not done anything professionally before this year? What little I've seen of him in pressers he comes across as a bit of an optimist, almost going out of his way to complement players for little things.
