“Dak is the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. He’s young and he’s going to get extended."

Aikman: Not on crack. Sees the situation clearly.

Irvin: Lighting rocks in a glass pipe before TV appearances:

How old is Jerry and what are the succession plans when he passes? Does he have family that will take over?

I'm really beginning to wonder if he hasn't lost his fire and is just wanting to enjoy his final years surrounded by people that he likes, not necessarily people that are going to win.

Jerry Jones the owner or the GM? haha

Presumably, Stephen Jones.

So in other words, a couple more years of mediocrity for the Dallas Cowboys.

I would disagree with him. They need to create a GM position and hire a GM. Let that GM hire the coach he wants to. Personnel-wise, they are not in horrible shape. The defense can be pretty good almost immediately. They still have an average O-line. They have a good RB and Prescott isn't Bortles bad. Garrett and Jones are the week links.

His son Stephen has already begun to take over. And sadly, he is more competent. He was reportedly the one that persuaded his dad to draft Zach Martin over Johnny Manziel for example. Man, Manziel on the Cowboys would have been so freaking great.

I have grown disenchanted with the entire offense.

Head Coach, OC, QB, RB, OL.......

I see no improvement from the first 3 and they are arguably the most important bits.....

I think Jerry just can't admit to himself or others that he misplayed the Dak situation. He's in Dak denial.

Romo might still be their QB.

Remember those Wentz/Prescott threads????

Good times.....

Dak at the halfway mark:

62.9% completion percentage, 1,660 yards, 10 TDs 5 INTs, 88.9 QB rating

Wentz (missed first two games):

70.7% completion percentage, 1,788 yards, 13 TDs, 2 INTs, 109.6 QB rating

Neither is playing horribly, but one is clearly better.

Dak is floating in limbo with those numbers. Not good, not bad...

I guess that's Dallas's offense in a nutshell. Unexciting.

It'd really only take a bad game vs Philly for them to suddenly look bad, though. Which seems more likely than a big game.

Dak is like a modern day Mark Brunell at QB. Not terrible, just not good.

They need to drop Garrett and hire a real GM. I think Dak still has potential.

I agree. It’s Dak by a mile. If you switch the teams they are on Wentz is a Train wreck. Dak has to do more with a lot less. Wentz is more a byproduct of the team he’s on than his talent. When Foles won last year he proved that.
