He was probably being about as serious as you are; doesn't want to badmouth the players that are on the roster.
BTW, if anyone has about a billion $ to invest, a minority interest in the Bills is potentially available...
local news here has a good article with reactions from a variety of people connected to the trial.

people would be more receptive to the "he served his debt to society" if that's what actually happened.
The reason he was sentenced to more time is because that's what the evidence dictated. The car that he hit wasn't even moving. A child in that car suffered permanent injuries.
Of course...
that doesn't appear to be consistent with the facts as reported.
by comparison, if you're drunk and get in an accident and injure someone, you probably don't go to jail unless the other person dies.
The "10 years" is probably the max. on the statute that he's expected to be charged.
TO played for the Bills for about 5 years, roughly the same amount of time that Diggs was here.
While he was far from perfect, based my recollection TO really didn't do much of anything "disruptive" while with the Bills.
Diggs, OTOH, made a habit of whining/complaining about something.
Lots of people with multiple DWIs are driving while their license is still suspended/revoked.
Based on the little I've read, that wasn't the case here.
With such a large number of DWIs, I'm surprised that he wasn't required to have some sort of ignition lock (breath test) installed on his car.
I'm not sure what you mean by "off load some salary".
Trading DIggs costs the Bills about $3 million more this season against the cap vs. keeping him on the team.
IOW, they could have payed him to play for the Bills all this season, and cut him at the end of the season for less than what they...
The Bills have 10 picks in the draft - no 3rd, but 2 in the 4th and 3 in the 5th and 6th.
Of course they also have the extra 2nd round 2025 pick from the trade. They'll probably try to bundle their own 2025 2nd in a trade to get another early round pick this year.
Diggs' production really dropped off as last season progressed.
Here are his completion/yardage figures from week 9 thru the playoffs:
6/86, 3/34, 4/27, 6/24, 4/24, 4/48, 5/29, 4/26, 7/87, 7/52, 3/21
He had more games with less than 30 yards then he had games with over 50 yards. He was...
Bills added some depth to their OL. Seems like a natural fit.

reminds of years ago when I was reading "Ball Four". - Jim Bouton recalled an occasion where, after he did the math, he figured out he had been traded for about 1/2 of the waiver price.
The Bills typically have 5 DEs and 5 DTs on the 53 man roster, with 4 each active on game day.
They need to sign several more of each to get to 5, and of course they probably want at least one extra for competition at camp.
the problem with trying to trade people teams know you have to cut -
the only chance you have for a trade is if two teams want somebody bad enough to get in a bidding war.
looks like that's not going to happen here.
An attorney once told me "more people are in jail for murder because juries thought they were liars than there are because they actually killed somebody".
Anyone on trial in a criminal case who the jury views as someone who didn't tell the truth about some critical aspect of the case could...
Letterman originally aired as "Late Night with David Letterman", which was on after Carson from 1982-1993.
when Carson retired and NBC gave that time slot to Jay Leno, Dave moved over to CBS as "Late Show with David Letterman, which lasted until 2015.
prior to Letterman, the late-late time slot...
That's a little bit misleading.
Based on what I've read, the Bills will save roughly $22M by restructuring Allen's contract. They'll push another $10M into next season by designating Tre White a post June 1 cut.
If I added right, that will give them what they need for draft picks (about...
Apparently it helps to have "friends in high places". Offhand, I'm guessing there may have been a few other people more worth of pardons.

One reason the Bills are near the bottom of that list:
- for as long as I can remember, they've had a policy of cutting off beer sales at the start of the 3rd quarter. (doesn't apply to suites)
it's packaged entertainment - from a financial perspective basically the same as movies or TV shows. They are only shown for "free" if the provider chooses to package them that way.
I was a season ticket holder from 1987 to 2006. My first year, the total price for 4 seats for the season was just under $500.
Those same 4 seats now cost close to $500 for one game.
When the Bills went to the Super Bowl, I had the option to enter a lottery to purchase tickets at face value...
That really isn't the case.
For the previous two seasons, Hamlin had been one of the backup safeties, with Poyer and Hyde being the starters.
In the past offseason, the Bills signed Rapp, so there were essentially three safety spots taken, and one left for everybody else to fight for.
Hamlin...
