Norton isn't good but this is Pete's defense. If we want to talk firing coordinators we should start with Brian Schneider, special teams have been awful since 2015. Brian Schottenheimer is the best coordinator on the staff by a country mile.

The play call on the Tyler pitch was fine, the pitch was just the wrong play. That's on Russell. I think he had the option to give it to Carson too. I don't think the play call was an issue there, just defended well and Russ made the wrong play.

Decision to not pay him, agreed. But I don't think you can say the Hawks made the right decision on Thomas, they should have traded him rather than lose him for (very likely) not even a comp pick.

It's the only leverage Clark has, especially 4 months out from the deadline to agree to a long-term deal. It's the smart business decision to say that now. Let's see how things progress before we declare Clark an enemy of the state.
