that is the hope---- most ratings services have the Guardians defense as the best in the majors- but it really has to be considering their lack of pop. Hopefully some day soon reinforcements arrive- and maybe Rocchio and Freeman develop.
Guardians front office usually does pretty well- but...
totally agree--- getting the vets for Detroit should help ease things--- they are already with a lot ofyoung guys in the lineup with Keith, Torkeslon Riley, etc......they have other guys waiting but playing just a ton of kids usually doesnt work out even if they all have talent--- gotta have...
I always liked Crochet's stuff. I am mad I dont have him on either of my fantasy teams- would have been a good late round pickup.
Skubal looked incredible. His stuff is scary good. I think Torkelson could very easily go for 35 hr and 110 rbis if Keith and Riley and some of these guys get...
I guess I dont understand. How else are you supposed to tackle someone? I mean, I always heard go low and wrap up the guy....i agree the body slams are excessive when you left them in the air, but if you wrap a guy how else are you supposed to bring him down? Maybe I am just not...
why do people love the Twins so much? I realize the central is no powerhouse (to say the least) but every single publication has picked them to win the division.
I think their rotation is pretty lackluster. They are relying on Ober and Ryan a lot- both guys who lost at it points last year...
Cleveland starting Manzardo and DeLatuer in the minors is going to hurt them.
If/when those guys come up- the offense is actually not too bad-- especially if Kwan and Gimenez can get back towards more of 2022 than 2023.
Delatuer looks really good.
I am excited to have both Naylor brothers...
Espino is done.....sucks.
Stephen is getting TJ....Williams starts on the DL.....some bad luck for the Guardians
Manzardo and DElatuer starting in the minors but each has looked really good. We put Straw on waivers and ate his money too which is shocking.
MLB will do everything in its power to protect him- which is dirty
unless their rock solid evidence he bet on baseball i bet they let him skate...
it seems obvious to me he was using his interpreter to bet on sports.
I mean- if I am putting my common sense hat on- it seems like Ohtani was betting a shitload on sports through his interpreter. Lets hope he was not betting on baseball
if he was- there has to be severe consequences - which I am sure is the last thing MLB wants.
I know this has been said a million times- but it really sucks the Covid year Dayton was likely going to get a 1 seed. That definitely hurt the program to lose the tournament that year.
Good to see them back and win a game- lets hope they can keep it up. A-10 doing well is good news. Hope...
i doubt Watson and chubb are even totally healthy by then- who knows. there has been no indiciation what is going on with chubb
surprisingly they have not re-worked Watsons deal---- which -honestly- it would be awesome if they did not have to and could eat a huge amount of the cap hit this...
@fightinfunbags sounds like your shit bag EAgles will be playing the Browns on opening week- a Friday night- in Brazil. ;)
how many extra pairs of under-wear will Hurts have on-hand with Myles Garrett coming after him?
thing is MLB teams HATE picking 1B as the #1 pick- barely ever happens---- and Condon and Caglione are both probably limited to 1B....Bazzana is 2B, and I think he is plenty athletic to play outfield if they wanted to move him out there.
Right now- I think Bazzana would be the pick--- but so...
https://theathletic.com/5316604/2024/03/07/mlb-draft-2024-rankings-prospects-keith-law-charlie-condon/
looks like -at least right now- their is a tier of 5-6 guys at the top of the MLB draft...... I like 3 guys for the Guardians- Condon, Bazzana or Caglione.....Bazzana is def the surest...
I think its fine---I was kind of excited to see him playing with pressure to play well though to be honest.
Supposedly the Vikings offered Jefferson 40M a season and he turned it down---- and looking at all the other deals- a good #2 is going to be in that 12-18M dollar range at WR- especially...
honestly not many big bats hit free agency it seems like---- I mean Ohtani and Judge were 2 but unsurprisingly they went to the Yanks and Dodgers. IS Bellinger a "big bat"? ehh- maybe but a loooot of risk there.
I think the Giants will pay and get a big bat- but its not going to be a Soto...
sort of- but these opt outs "protect them" in case of bad performance or injury.
If I was a team I would hate having to sign these deals--- where you signa guy for 6 years (or more) but the opt outs just let them get out of it-- they are protected in case they suck or get hurt- but if they are...
I hate these opt outs....I think SF did a great job to limit the opt outs on Snell too--- signing him to like a 5 year deal with opt outs after every year is just deranged. Only having to do 2 years was smart with the opt out after year 1.....with pitchers those deals will almost always get you...
I really like the Giants offseason.
I think the Korean CF is an interesting signing in todays MLB- he seems to be a very similar bat to Kwan on the Guardians- a good stable setter that wont strike out
I know Ray wont be ready for a while- but if he gets healthy--- him, Snell, and possibly...
I was invited to the game by one of the financial firms we work with but have something else going on that I cannot get out of- pretty bummed.
Cavs are pretty decimated by injury--- but it seems on any given night they can beat anyone or lose to anyone.
What followed was a four-season burst that few players in Major League history could replicate. Sizemore played nearly every day from 2005-08. He got on base (.372 OBP), showed 20-30 homer power (.496 SLG), was an elite baserunner (115 steals) and played at least a solid (and thrilling) center...
