I have to admit. I am very nervous about how bad they are going to look. I hope I'm wrong. I hope they roll out something awesome I just don't have a lot of faith it'll look good.
Finally, the thread you've all been waiting for! Your self proclaimed in-house expert on all things Broncos is gracing the board with his presence in order to provide you all with expert insight into what's really happening with this team.
(Allows the applause to subside.)
Wait, maybe that...
And that is make us daydream about the likes of Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, Drew Lock, and Teddy Bridgewater.
Seriously, I don't look at this man and think "he's the problem." Wilson is not THE problem. But he's also not the solution, and that's the problem. Wilson's salary is what you pay a...
I try to avoid over reacting after just one week. I try to remind myself the Broncos did hold the Seahawks scoreless after allowing Geno Smith to light them up in the first half. I remind myself that goal line fumbles and 64 yard FG attempts are week 1 anomalies that we won’t see every week...
It's been a while since I've posted any real content here. So many reasons and I'm not going to bore you all with them. I'll get right to the topic for discussion.
Do you think the league's addition of a 17th game combined with 7 teams in the playoffs makes a 10 or 9 win team a stronger...
...I can honestly conclude the biggest buzz kill to 2021 was not how bad the Broncos were. Though that should have been enough. What really killed this year was the NFL's 17 game regular season. Call me crazy but seeing an odd number for every team's final record is making me twitch. I may seek...
Hey, guys, just checking in. I had to step away so the collective IQ of the board could go back up a little, but I'm back to drag you all down again. I'm hoping I can do a better job following the team this year than I did last year. I hope we can avoid the insane number of injuries to top tier...
What do you guys think of the 17 game schedule for 2021?
I think it's stupid. I think with 32 teams and 16 games the league had a very symmetrical and ideal schedule rotation. I think the NFL is working full time to ruin a great thing.
Okay, so the 1-3 Broncos are on their "mini-bye" after posting their first win on TNF over the Jets. Before the season I had them at 3-1 at this point, with wins over the Titans and Bucs. How could I have guessed the injury list would be this devastating this quickly?
With that said, this...
This week can be a really good thing or an unmitigated disaster for this Broncos team. The Bucs are not a bad team, and they're next on the docket. No sooner will they wrap up that game and they're heading east on a really short week to take on the Jets on TNF.
I can see this really going...
Let's assume for this discussion we actually get all 16 games. I'm seeing a lot of 10-6 even 11-5 type predictions for this Broncos team. That would be really exciting especially since this is a young offense. The defense is going to have to carry them early. With that said, I think it's...
So the first rule of this discussion is let’s assume some semblance of a normal 16 game season starting relatively on time. i know that’s a huge variable right now but I’d rather not fret over the possibilities that are beyond my control. So let’s talk about what would make us conclude this was...
Hey, Broncos fans, how have things been? I hope everyone is well amidst a pandemic and social unrest.
I have been extremely busy this past half year, but fortunately things will be slowing down for me in a few weeks. I’ll be entering terminal leave this week and retiring from the Marine Corps...
So the new CBA was approved by the players union. I generally don’t get too deep into the business aspect of this sort of thing, such as revenue sharing. The salary cap I sort of get into but even that isn’t all that interesting to me.
I do get into the stuff that affects how I view the season...
Today is the day. I know we’re likely rooting for the 49ers here, not just because they’re playing the Chiefs but because of how many Broncos connections the current 49ers have.
I think it’s going to be a tough game to pick. I believe the Niners are better across the roster but the most...
...or is it really satisfying to see the #1 seeded Ravens getting pushed around at home by a lower seeded team?
I’m really not a Ravens hater here. I’m indifferent to them at best. This is taking me a little by surprise though: that being how enjoyable it is to see the top seeded Ravens...
Week 10 is wrapping up and at this point in the season it’s hard to look at any of the AFC West teams as serious contenders. First the standings:
Chiefs: 6-4
Raiders: 5-4
Chargers: 4-6
Broncos: 3-6
Plenty can happen between now and the end of the season, but it’s hard to picture the Chiefs...
Keenan Allen isn’t responding well to the Chargers loss to the Broncos. Oh, and this is after his “they suck” comment about the Broncos after the Broncos beat them last year.
Of the Broncos AFC West rivals the Chargers are the least relevant, but stuff like this can help make an otherwise...
...but at what point this year do the Broncos see what they have in Lock? I realize Flacco isn’t the problem, and because I don’t give 2 schitts about the business/contract side of this game I am not clear on what Flacco’s restructure means to the team going forward. Also, there’s the minor...
with the draft over we have a better idea of what the team leadership’s vision for 2019 looks like. Overall I like it. I think this has the potential to be a much improved team over last year.
Some issues still concern me.
Overall it’s a lot of new faces. That can go both ways: the team can...
The full schedule will be released in the 18th. This is my favorite part of the off season because the schedule is the single most definite thing about the pending season we get in the off season.
What I’m expecting:
- the Broncos won’t open at home in 2019.
- the Broncos won’t host MNF, but...
