Even during championship seasons, the Pats had at least one game that they should win easily and get owned. If the next few games are the same as the Bears game, then we have a major problem. No OC or DC, IMHO, may be part of it.
I think the Pats will be somewhat better this year than they were in 2021. The question is how much the rest of the AFC has improved. Some teams may pass the Pats in on the field talent. A lot will depend on how well BB does in the draft. Of course on the field talent is not the only measure of...
While it is still early in free agency, BB's lack of action/results is at least a little concerning. The current roster is arguably weaker than the one that got blown out of the playoffs. Some are saying BB may be mentally tanking 2022 and looking to 2023 to make a playoff run. I don't think...
If BB doesn't cut him, Keene might have shot at FB. Unfortunately, he has shown nothing in the few nanoseconds he spent on the field. As for Gunner, I hate to see him go but Slade Bolden intrigues me an Edelman wannabe.
There is no huge rush to fill coaching spots immediately. The need to fill spots is real, however. As long as the Pats have qualified people to do the jobs when the season starts, they can be called any cute title BB wants to give them. I just don't think anybody should spread themselves too...
I agree with BK. As you get older, you can't do as much as you used to, or do it as well. Being a few years older than him, I speak from experience. That said, I feel BB needs to fill open coaching spots with qualified personnel and not try to do it all himself.
The Houston game looks like the earlier Jets game; a weak opponent to beat up on after a tough loss. If the Pats lose, or have trouble winning easily, it could be the foreshadowing of another losing season. By the way, does anyone know the last time the Pats started out 0-3 at home?
As much as BB might love JG, I feel he is not the solution. Injuries and less than a franchise QB performance doesn't make him look like the answer to the Pats' needs. Unfortunately, with several QB needy teams drafting early, the price for BB to move up from #15 is very high. Hopefully, BB can...
BB needs to treat this season as a proving ground for the many rookies who dot the roster since competing for a playoff spot has pretty much fallen off the table. There are many questions that need answered. Is Stidham truly a bust or does he have a realistic shot? Is there a decent TE on the...
I'm in my 70's and have diabetis, so I am in the high risk group. My wife and I have been wearing masks everywhere, even before their use was deemed essential. That said, I get upset hearing opposing viewpoints on the seriousness and even the true existence of the Covid virus. These differences...
That Cleveland rumor is not coming up in the local media out here. Robinson has been a disaster at OT this year. OBJ has been a major pain and is also coming off a serious injury. Njoku is a talented receiver but not much of a blocker. Hope the rumor is totally false.
The one thing that could keep the Pats from a wild card win is the injuries. They have come back down to the rest of the pack and no team really fears them any more.
If true, reports that the NFL is frustrated at not digging up dirt in the latest spygate dustup is almost laughable. In the end, Goodell may just ignore the lack of evidence and indict the Pats on "prior bad acts". Hopefully, any penalty will be monetary without loss of draft choices.
BB does have a history of getting rid of good but aging QBs. Out here in Cleveland, he did it with Bernie Kosar, a local hero, and the fans and media took it very badly. In fact, it was probably one of the things that helped grease the slide for his firing.
