The owners have extreme clout and influence in local politics, how do you think they get tax payer funded stadiums? They want the owners to actually use their connections for the greater good rather than their own pocket book for once.
instead of threatening to leave a city because they didn't...
The Suns like Chandler and his contract. He's not going anywhere unless he requests it. The only way Bled is getting moved is if you take Knight too or give up a top prospect.
We signed him to a 9M contract No one else did. Yes, we let him go too early. But at least we recognized the potential and got him to sign here. I wish we hadn't traded him away. I wish we hadn't traded for Knight and still had that Lakers pick. But also we need to appreciate what was done well.
I'm pretty sure he's a UFA this summer. Which is why I didn't want the Suns to trade everything for him.
I read the protections as to why the Celts or Suns didn't trade for him, the Kings wanted a lottery pick and didn't want top 3/5 protections on them so that they wouldn't transfer this...
Look at MLK with Giannas or SAS with Kawhi. You don't need the top pick to "win" the draft. Even MJ wasn't a #1 pick. We got Booker at #13. Be happy this team is growing and maturing. And they're super fun to watch.
But a rookie coach needs to be given at least some leeway with squads. Even if he hangs with the bench that got them back in the game a little too long.
I think he had a pretty valid excuse. And he has won quite a bit in his career and he is causing us to outbound opponents and I can't remember the last time that's happened.
Watson says, "let's get 1% better each day". Terrible loss to the kings. Then OT loss to the Thunder. Then close lose to the Warriors. Team has been looking good.
You can disagree with front office decisions. But I love this team no matter what. I have high hopes for when this team gels. I want them to win less than 20 games as this draft appears to be loaded. But given the talent, they should be in the playoffs. If the Chris Bosch injury happened one year...
I've been a fan of the Cards since 1988, when my dad took me to my first game at Frank Kush field. Those of us that grew up in the 80's around here love the Cards even though they sucked and worship Warner for making us not a joke. This current team with Michael and not Bill as the owner is much...
Whom are you talking about?? There is zero way that KD was meeting with the Suns if he didn't meet with the Wizards. I am happy they didn't blow their load on decent but not great players. Save the cap space for next year.
I don't like the way top tier player contracts work. I hope more stars start requiring the whole thing guaranteed, even if it's at fewer years. Would make it a lot easier to compare values and would make NFL contracts much easier to understand for casuals.
