Wow, Federer and Djokovic are on fire. Outstanding play from both. To top it all off, Djokovic wraps up the year as No. 1. It would be nice to see the two of them battle for the championship.
I am still around but not as interested in some things as before. After burying my daughter, I'm just not into some things right now. I am so grateful for the many nice people who reached out to me and prayed for me. I still love tennis, however I have been so busy with wrapping up affairs and...
Just wanted to let you know that I have read your expressions of sympathy and condolences to me. I am so greatfull to have friends like you. I am preparing to bury my loving daughter at this time and this is so hard for me as she died from a sudden and short illness. I could not really...
This thread is to let you know that I won't be posting on the board for awhile. I lost my youngest child tonight. She died and left 3 grandchildren. Right now I am shocked and out of sorts so I don't feel like posting anymore right now. Maybe in the near future I will when I can get through...
I thought this post through carefully, and have decided that I cannot stay with this tennis board any longer. When I first joined I thought it would be a good place to be. It appears when a poster posts anything related to Serena Williams people who hate her don't want anything good said about...
This is just so devastating. I will be praying for her. As if she had not been through so much, now this.

Did not see it all, but I know what I did see before I left the house was a good first set. Compared to the ladies final on yesterday this went the distance and was a great match. Maybe they might want to let the ladies play a 3 out of 5 for their final championship match in all of the slams...
Number 1 and 2. Don't have any idea who will win, but at least Djokovic knows how to play Nadal so it should be a good match. As far as the ladies are concerned, Halep has a chance, lets see if she can handle Sharapova. Should be two good finals.
It is a tricky surface. I never really cared for it. Games are too slow and tedious. Takes a lot of patience to win on this stuff. You have to have a lot of stamina to endure this surface. Always thought of clay for pottery making and growing things.
I missed all of the action today with Serena and Ana. It was worth it because my grandson graduated medical school today. Glad she won though. Now win it all tomorrow Serena. :yahoo:
Sorry Simtast I faled to read your post yesterday. I did see the scores of Sharapova's match and am puzzled as to why she didn't put up a fight. Makes one wonder why she didn't give it her all, and gave up so easily.
I thought she was injured or something, but an old fashioned beatdown. She didn't even put up a fight. Maybe I should stop hoping she will get better. Simtast you are always spot on.
Well, Federer lets us know his playing status for now and the future. I have to give it to him, he is a very determined man. I give him all the credit and wish him much luck.
