I really wanted to beat Washington one last ridiculous time.
So, since we're all parting ways, I'll be gracious.
Congratulations on beating Arizona State for the 3rd time in your last 16 tries, UW. I hope we can do non conference stuff.
The Nebraska Minnesota line struck me as convenient. There's a lot of pumped up Nebraska fans. The line started at I think 7.5, and all the recent games were 1 TD MN wins. It screams Nebraska action, and I think that's what they got.
Which makes me immediately think the books think MN should...
We aren't good. I was pretty sure we weren't going to be good, but now I know we aren't good.
Unless Elijah Badger goes Super Saiyan or something over the next few weeks. Omar Norman Lott is gonna be a dude though. He's really, really fast for his size and will be drafted in the top 3 or 4...
I didn't expect a Wazzu dude to champion ASU's cause.
To be clear, I think Washington is a more valuable entity than ASU is right now. Maybe not in 15 years but that doesn't really matter now.
For all I know, Arizona gonna run out out of water and we'll all be moving to Michigan or Minnesota...
Presumably the Big 12, or whatever the best offer is. Oregon and Washington certainly have plenty of value, but my point was that they aren't just the two new kings to rule over the other remnants of the Pac 12. I'd prefer everyone stick together and I'm not even against unequal shares of...
No. But if that is the case, then ASU will leave and take Phoenix with it. And probably Denver and SLC since the corner schools are probably going to stick together unless one of them gets a Big 10 or SEC invite.
GoBankingRates.com is a great source btw.
I know I'm about to post 3 times in a row, but kind of riding off my previous post on TheLoneStarDucks link and question-
Over the last 4 years, of Pac 12 teams that report athletic department revenue, my quick and rounded down (so a little higher in actuality) average of the top 4 teams is...
I cannot imagine ASU going for being a 2nd class citizen. ASU has a comparable athletic department and is in Phoenix (which is slightly bigger than Seattle). Is ASU worth as much as UW and Oregon? No, but it's not the sort of gap that's going to have them taking a significantly lesser share...
A boy can dream. ASU needs to hire a coach that likes to recruit, isn't married to his assistants when they suck, and isn't a geriatric looking for one last paycheck. Competency and energy, basically. We're going to probably suck for a bit because we lost so many players from the depth chart...
Belated fuck ESPN for starting this too.
ASU probably will wind up in the Big 12 I imagine with Arizona, Utah and Colorado and it'll be cool. I guess. But Texas Tech and I guess Oklahoma State are really the only ones I'm interested in playing regularly.
This sucks. The USC alum execs that are working at Fox fucking suck. Larry Scott sucks. UCLA sucks for getting themselves in a pile of debt and going along with it.
I expect UW will eventually get an invite. Oregon probably has a big enough sugar daddy to get in though the much vaunted hunt...
I am mad and frustrated, and you're probably right that it's getting to me. There was a part of me, I guess, that felt like USC might stay above messing with their "fallen compatriots" rosters because they'd been there a decade ago over similar bullshit with the NCAA. Obviously that's not the...
I was talking about Gentry still. He's from PA. Your team just straight up bought our linebacker. It sounds like you're doing the same to the DT. It'd be one thing and I could tolerate it a bit better if we at least didn't have to play them.
The Pitt WR is their problem and more...
The presumption is that it's not coaches doing it. It's coaches maybe kinda sorta once in a while talking to a booster group who just happens to reach out to players, and since all they want want to do is just advertise... Free for all. Can we not pretend it's not legalized bag men?
Why the...
I forgot how annoying USC fans get when they're confident.
Normally we'd be in position to foil but we're on fire and actively looking for a gasoline tanker to crawl into. Still... Chill. Talk after you win.
And your coaches were TERRIBLE the last few years compared to others. Not all of...
At this point it's basically a raid on ASU's roster by teams with NIL money. Jermayne Lole, who missed the season but was a preseason All American and one of the best DT's in the country, has entered the portal. People seem to think USC is going to give him a bunch of money and he'll follow...
ASU Freshman AA Eric Gentry (who is going to be really, really good) entered the transfer portal, along with leading receiver Ricky Pearsall. Apparently it's NIL related. They haven't left yet but Gentry especially I'd expect to get some pretty serious money offers.
At this point I'm pretty...
If she'd just waited a few months, she could have just given them tickets as part of Mom Inc. or whatever. Totally legal. This wasn't 2 years ago, 3 years ago. This was the exact same recruiting cycle where high school kids were getting NIL's. This isn't ancient history.
With all the coaches at ASU getting fired and his mother's alleged role in paying for the plane tickets of the recruits that got ASU in trouble, it's an understandable move.
He was probably told he had to move on. ASU is focusing on cutting off everything that attaches them to the allegations...
Arizona State lead the Pac 12 and came in tied with Michigan, Penn State, Ole Miss and Cincinnati at 8 for most combine invites. It probably should have been 9 since Tyler Johnson's omission is idiotic. He was one of the 3 or 4 best players on the team, is big and athletic for his position...
ASU needs the NCAA to expedite more than anything else, or at least give us signs that it's going to be a lovetap versus the nuclear option.
There's no reason ASU should be punished very harshly for the allegations. The problem is the NCAA has lost complete control with NIL, it's wide open...
