    NL East smack talk

The only teams I could see scoring more runs are HOU/LAD, and I like the Braves lineup better. FanGraphs projects you guys to score 5.35 R/G (Dodgers are 5.11 and HOU are 5.05)

my point is, I wouldn't really fret spring training performances too much. good or bad. it's meant for players to iron things out and get ready for the actual season

Rodriguez was good, though he wasn't drafted by the Sox (got him in the Andrew Miller trade)

The bigger issue is that was the only SP they acquired. It's even worse if this was an underlying issue and not just some recent development.

180 innings is the new 200 I just hope we'll see some kind of correction back to at least 90s/00s era starter usage. I sorely miss watching pitchers duels. Not many instances you see dualing starters go 7+ anymore. I hate what bullpen/SP usage has done to MLB in recent years. Get off my lawn.

He was coming off a strong 2021 season, but it became abundantly clear in '22 he was toast. He was an awesome player in 2013-19 though.

I think Soto will extend with Yanks. You don't trade for him without the intention of extending him. If the Sox had done more for the rotation than just Giolito, I wouldn't hate this off-season.

    2024 Rosterbation

Gotta suck to lose that starting job after the offseason, but it's not like Davis should be handling 3B on a daily basis. He's a DH who can play the occasional position, though at least he's a viable hitter. I don't think Chapman's defense is as good as it was pre-2020, but he's still a very...

For someone with 2 CYAs, Snell has a fair amount of red flags. Injury prone, inconsistency, high walk rate. I like Chapman and the deal for the Giants, but he isn't without his question marks either.
