This franchise is a fucking joke. Top to bottom.
We're so fucking poor we don't offer Teoscar a qualifying offer which he wouldn't have accepted.
We're so fucking poor we don't even make an attempt at getting Ohtani.
We're so fucking poor we dump Geno for two players who will be DFA'd...
Huh that's weird. Honestly I have no clue why there wasn't at least one protest vote then. I remember when the NBA voted to relocate, both Paul Allen and Mark Cuban opposed it.
I could be completely wrong on this but I believe the A's have to pay a relocation fee that is split amongst the owners. No reason for them to vote against it.
I love the idea of Tim Anderson as a bounce back candidate, but it seems Dipoto would prefer some sort of rotation among the AAAA players we currently have on the roster.
If there was a sports version of The Onion the deadline would be:
"Mariners shock the world and trade for replacement level utility player who hit less than his weight last year"
Ugh.
Anyone feel free to rip me for this, but the Seahawks should've just established the run early, yet they dropped back a ton of times to pass when Geno looks mid at best.
Anderson's drop off was strange. My assumption was he just gave up.
I wouldn't mind JD Martinez but I have strong paranoia that any vet hitter that comes here would regress substantially.
After we didn't even extend Teo a qualifying offer I'm incredibly pessimistic we will make any significant moves in free agency so here are my thoughts coming off that note:
Bellinger: MLBTR has him projected to get 12 years $264m. Not happening.
Ohtani: I've read that apparently he has...
I think my morale regarding the direction of this franchise might be at an all time low.
At this rate I wonder if we'll even extend guys like Kirby and Gilbert when that time comes.
I've seen a Soto trade mentioned a handful of times, but let's be realistic there is no way we will give him...
It still doesn't make any sense to me.
He's projected (per MLBTR) to get a contract around 4 years $80m. It's highly unlikely he would've accepted the qualifying offer.
I want to be optimistic and say that there must be something behind the scenes we don't know about, but really I just think...
For all that can be said about how bad this game is, I do give the Ravens a lot of respect. They honestly look really fucking good.
Every time Geno dropped back he was either under pressure or it didn't seem anyone was open, that or he was too chicken shit to throw the ball. Not that I think...
Seahawks pass attempts: 32
Seahawks hand offs to HBs: 13
Seahawks yards per pass attempt: 6.3
Seahawks yards per rush to HB: 9.1
Don't even get me started with the time of possession...
