Clean sweep of Fresno St and the Beavers are 13-3 with a game vs Portland mi-week that they should win easily. I expect them to be 14-3 going into the PAC 12 opener @ ASU next weekend. Hoping for the best there.

After losing 2 games to New Mexico, they beat #19 Oklahoma State, and Friday, beat Kansas State. Currently 4 - 2 and play Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday. They play U of Kansas on Sunday.

Well, OR St just choked away a 2 run lead, then started changing pitchers every inning. New Mexico has a very good LH pitcher that kept the Beavers from scoring until he got pulled in the 9th. Beavs lost in an ugly 4-7 game.

I only posted that, tongue-in-cheek because of the thread about Vandy being THEE premier college baseball school after they won the CWS last year.

One of my biggest regrets is selling my weapons. Had a S & W .357 revolver, stainless 6", police issue. Had S. A. PD engraved in the trigger guard. Other regret was selling my Savage .300 Model 99 rifle. I still find myself looking for another .357 w/ long barrel. Mostly finding snub-noses.

I can't remember for sure, but I don't think Riley ever got any recruits ranked in the top 5. Mostly he found unranked or ranked in the 50 - 100 range, then coached them up to be competitive. I'm really looking forward to this new Beavers team being assembled.
