1. AEW has a more stable lockerroom than when Punk was there. Not necessarily more stable than any other company's. It worked out for everyone.
2. Sting lost to HHH in a nostalgia match. The announcers (Michael Cole in particular) buried him. It was gross. If that was the plan it should have at...
Punk violently shoved and then choked a smaller person who was in a non-defensive posture, literally at the time his hands were in his hair. It was the equivalent of a sucker punch. I'm glad I got to see it.
It worked out for everyone. Punk is in WWE who run a wrestling company the way he...
Do you recall the last CM Punk shoot interview lead to Punk in a court room, ruining friendships, costing him millions of dollars in legal fees.
AEW is either trolling for a quick ratings bump or showing the truth of what happened. Not sure how Punk is living in TKs head for this
Who in the company has said that publicly?
I think Punk's a great promo and is great for wrestling in general. I'm a fan of him as a performer. He clearly doesn't handle his exits from companies diplomatically. Cody's much better at those.
I actually think they should have taken the high road on it at the time but if Punk is going to shit talk the owner and the company they have a right to defend themselves. It's really going to depend on the footage itself and if there's a compelling follow up. Personally I'm curious
It was provoked by Punk and I'm curious to see the footage.
The dirtsheet mentioning Tony by name makes me think it's legit but it's pro wrestling so I guess you never know
He had over 900 yds as a 21 year old rookie and that was while catching passes from a rookie Burrow and backups after Burrow was injured. I just don't see an Alivin Harper scenario here. As long as he's healthy and gets solid QB play he's going to be an effective player.
Here's a scenario that...
To me those players are generational, HOF caliber talents. I wouldn't put Higgins in that class but I do think he's a number 1 WR. I'd rank him top 10-15 in the league and he's yet to truly hit his prime
To put it in perspective Higgins is 25 and Diggs didn't make his first probowl until the season he turned 27. Diggs was very good in Minn but he was more of a 1/1a with Theilen than a true number 1.
The fact the Bengals FO franchise tagged him is an indicator they and some other teams think...
It makes sense for a team with a QB on a rookie deal:
The QB is on a low deal so those teams can afford a financial overpay on a receiver. They're usually desperate to surround them with talent. A team like The Panthers makes sense, so do the Giants or Pats if they take a QB in the 1st rd this year
Great WR class. They should draft Thomas from LSU if he's there, trade Higgins for picks, use franchise tag money allotted to Higgins to sign Chase to an extension
Khan owning an NFL team takes Mondays off table if the wrestling dirtsheet reports are to be believed.
I cut the chord so haven't been watching regularly but Ive always liked the concept of Saturday wrestling having grown up on Saturday Nights Main Event and WCW on TBS
It has this meta dream match feel but I wish the booking felt as a big. I think Danielson should have been the most protected wrestler in the company.
I agree, he needs at least one run with the title to enhance it's lineage if nothing else
A lot of people mentioned the UFC press conference feel and I noticed that too but there was a Tyson/ SCSA 98 vibe as well.
Not sure where the story is headed or if it makes sense but I'm intrigued
