I would get two great TE's and use them on the end of the lines. Gives you 7 blockers and 4 WR's still. More protection for Burrow, or a 4 WR play if wanted. So we may not use them, but I would not be opposed to going this route to protect Burrow while giving him 4 outstanding targets...
Hubbard had successful surgery and all anticipated he will be 100% by camp.
With that said, I am not opposed to an early round edge, maybe not the first. I love your first pick.
How my list goes:
1. Taliese Fuaga
2. Brock Bowers
3. Byron Murphy
4. Johnny Newton
5. Brian Thomas Jr.
6. Amarius...
The cheese coneys are so fucking good with skyline hot sauce on it. It is not gross. Don't buy the cans in the store though. Need to go to a Skyline and get it.
I see Murphy rising in a lot of mocks now. Maybe he is gaining more traction from the experts. I did see one mock draft, especially first round that I loved. I like the pick, but I like what could have been the pick instead. In the mock we got Brian Thomas II, but it was after we traded back...
I did one this morning, and wasn't real happy with what was available during my picks, and while the first two picks got A+ (Cooper DeJean) and A (Ja'Tavion Sanders), I wasn't overall happy that it went down (CB, TE, DE, OG).
All these crazy ass made up trade proposals online are getting annoying.
Now we are supposed to be trading Dax Hill for the Steelers 98th pick. Ridiculous.
I am with you all the way now. I think Murphy, if available gives us our best chance in round one to fix some things. We need someone like a Chris Jones/Aaron Donald, A dominating presence in the middle of t he defensive line. Between Rankins and Murphy, we would definitely get more pressure...
That much is very true. We do have to find the next Hendrickson soon or we will be in trouble. Everything on our defense really works around him, kinda like Myles Garrett and TJ Watt for their teams.
I am a bigger fan of Hubbard than you are I suppose. I am not opposed to Braswell, but I also know he will be rotational and will replace Sample or Ossai.
I know what you are saying. However, while we have a running division, this is a passing league, and if you have 4 DL that can put serious pressure on the QB without help, you will be in good shape. Just going to have to rely on LB's to be solid in the run game.
At any rate, I didn't care for...
If the first two rounds fell like this, I wouldn't care what happened the rest of the draft. IMO they got the best RT in the draft and the second best 3T DT in the draft behind Murphy.
This is all hypothetical just like our mocks, but to me...unless Marvin Harrison Jr. falls to 18, Fuaga is my...
I still like loading the trenches. However, I wouldn't be opposed to Thomas and getting him for 5 years. The WR group this year would be off the charts with Chase, Higgins and Thomas, with Jones, Iosivas and Irwin in the wings.
If those two things occur, then yes, I can see some thought process on it. But from all indications Anderson is back and ready, and it hasn't been decided on Hill yet. But yes, if they move Hill and Anderson isn't really ready, I don't see an easy path for a safety on this roster. At the...
Kinda have to see how the draft falls. We don't control what happens ahead of us if we aren't willing to trade up. So you see how the draft falls to us and you make the decision based on what is left and the best value at the positions you are looking at. Easy decision if the 6th best OT is...
So now you take a 4th round safety, and he doesn't make the team, and goes to the practice squad. Think someone doesn't sign him at that value? I am just saying, if we draft a safety, think he is much much later in the draft so we can stuff him on the practice squad.
Not this year, but...
They could very well take BPA, but that is not what you bank the future on is a 4th rounder becoming a stalwart in your lineup. I think every position is on the table throughout the draft. I just don't think you plan on starters leaving by drafting a 4th rounders with hopes they become a long...
You don't take a 5th round safety planning on the future holes. 1-3 rounds are really your building rounds, and you hope you get lucky there. Rounds 4-7 are hole fillers that are a couple year guys to sit bench in case of injury. You hope to luck out with a guy like TJ Houshmanzadeh from time...
